In today's information age,the Internet has impacted and influenced everyone's lifestyle, cognitive style, learning style, and way of thinking. It has also profoundly influenced the way of social development. This development trend requires that contemporary college students not only possess humanistic qualities, scientific literacy, but also possess information literacy. It can be said that information literacy is a basic capability that people must possess in order to cope with the global informatization in the future, and it is one of the basic qualities that each person in the information society must have to survive and develop.Minority students are the backbone of economic and social development in minority areas.Their information literacy is not only related to their personal development prospects, but also affects the modernization process of local minority areas. Therefore,it is very important to improve the information literacy of minority college students.Their level of information literacy is directly related to social solidarity, stability, prosperity and development in minority areas.Colleges and universities for nationalities are an important base for the state to cultivate talents for minorities and have an environment in which diverse cultures interact, collide and interweave here.Nowadays,"Internet+"has become a trend that has led the development of all aspects of life in the society. It has greatly promoted the integration of various cultures and put forward high requirements for information literacy of minority students in the new era.For this reason,it is one of the important tasks faced by colleges and universities for nationalities to cultivate minority students with good information literacy. This thesis is based on the questionnaire survey and individual interviews of minority students in Z University, using the perspective of acculturation theory, narrative inquiry methods, and analysis of the anthropological emic-etic research position, from family, educational experience, social environment, cultural adaptation, personality and other aspects to understand and interpret the influencing factors of minority college students' information literacy, analyze the positive and negative factors arising from cross-cultural learning, and propose that cultural adaptation has become an important factor influencing the development of information literacy of minority students. Finally, some ideas and suggestions on how to improve the information literacy of minority college students based on the theory of acculturation are put forward. This thesis consists of seven parts:Chapter 1:Introduction.It mainly include:the origin of the topic of the thesis, the research question, the purpose of the research and its social, theoretical and practical significance, the definition of the core concepts, and the literature review on the information literacy of higher education at home and abroad.Chapter 2:Research design. It mainly includes:the theoretical perspective of this thesis, the selection of field survey sites, the main research methods used, and the framework of the thesis. This study believes that information literacy of minority college students is not simply related to university information technology education. As a member of society, their information literacy construction and development are as continuous as their cultural development. Therefore,we must not ignore the influence of the individual's own culture before entering colleges and universities, and at the same time it must not be separated from the impact of the increasingly rapid development of the Internet environment. In other words, before and after leaving a familiar hometown to a strange city to pursue higher education, minority college students have their growing family, national culture, ethnic identity, basic education experience, university education experience, surrounding social environment,Internet environment, and personality traits. All these factors still have an impact on the construction and development of their information literacy. Therefore, this study is based on the acculturation theory and uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods to deeply analyze and interpret the influencing factors of minority college students' information literacy.Chapter 3:Questionnaire survey and data analysis of minority college students' information literacy. This chapter uses quantitative research methods to conduct a questionnaire survey on information literacy related content of minority students in Z University, and conducts statistical analysis on the data collected from the valid survey questionnaires. The status quo of information literacy of minority college students in the university is summarized, and the existing problems and their influencing factors are quantitatively analyzed and described, providing the reference and basis for the content, depth, and direction of subsequent individual interviews.Chapter 4:The story of individual growth experience of minority college students and its interpretation. This chapter uses qualitative research methods to select four minority college students who will graduate from college and a Han university student from the minority region who is a zero-basic student of Kazakh language and literature at Z University. The narrative inquiry method is used to learn from their families, basic education experience, university education experience, social environment, information literacy, future goals, personality characteristics to present their growth experiences and stories;then from the family, basic education, university education, personality characteristics to in-depth analyze and interpret the influencing factors of cultural adaptation and information literacy of minority college students.Chapter 5:The emic-etic analysis of the influencing factors on the information literacy of minority college students based on the acculturation theory. This chapter uses the anthropological emic-etic analysis method to understand and interpret the influencing factors of minority students'information literacy from family, basic education experience, university study experience, social environment, and personality characteristics. It also analyzes and explains the relevance of the information literacy impact factors of minority college students and the factors affecting their cultural adaptation. The emic research is based on the textual stories of the individual interviews of the college students in the previous chapter. The etic research is based on the perspective of the theory of acculturation,ie the use of Beery's "Cross-cultural Adaptation Model",Ward's "Culture Adaptation Process Model" and Danckwortt's "Theory Model of Adaptation to Unfamiliar Cultures" to analyze the content of the emic presentation.Chapter 6:Ideas and suggestions to enhance the information literacy of minority college students based on the theory of acculturation.Through the theoretical induction and refinement of of the previous text, this chapter elaborates the attitudes of minority college students in the construction of information literacy under "Cross-cultural Adaptation Model",the existing problems in the construction of information literacy of minority college students under "Cultural Adaptation Process Model",the influencing factors of information literacy of minority college students under "Aadaptation Model of Strange Culture".Finally, based on the "Culture Adaptation Learning Model",it proposes some ideas and suggestions for improving information literacy of minority students in the colleges and universities for nationalities.Chapter 7:Theoretical reflection and insight. It includes the reflections on the application of western cross-cultural adaptation theory, the researcher's understanding, and the innovation and limitations of the study. From the perspective of educational anthropology, this dissertation attempts to explore the influencing factors of information literacy of minority college students with educational anthropological research methods,so as to provide a useful anthropological field research report to expand the current research on information literacy of higher education to some extent. The perspective of the study has certain reference value for information literacy education for minority college students in the colleges and universities for nationalities.
