Nowadays, what methods and measures can be used to improve physical and mental health of children and adolescents is one of the most problems for school physical education.Children and adolescents spend their most day time in school, and receive national physical education curriculum at the same time. Therefore, school physical education should explore more effective methods and measures to promote physical and mental health of children and adolescents. However, many physical education lessons have not achieved the desired effect. The main reasons are the low quality of physical activities, the lack of time for children and adolescents to participate in physical activities in physical education lessons.Besides, the exercise load of physical education lessons have always not reached the the effective threshold to promote the physical and mental health. In general, the quality of physical education lessons remains to be improved.Based on the literature review, this research found that motor skill training can promote physical and mental health of children and adolescents.Fitness training can also promote physical and mental health of children and adolescents, and increase the exercise load of physical education lessons. Therefore, this research has combined the motor skill training and fitness training together in physical education lessons, and has studied what kind of combination can best promote physical and mental health of children and adolescents.Experiment 1: Objective: In order to select the appropriate time and intensity of motor skill and fitness combined training, this research have taken junior high school students as the experimental subjects to study the effects of 7 different time and intensity of motor skill and fitness combined training on physical and mental health of children and adolescents. Methods: This research has used the literature review method, experimental research method and mathematical statistics method. Results: Compared with other combined training styles,20 min moderate-intensity motor skill and 10 min moderate-intensity fitness combined training(3 times one week,12 weeks)can best reduce the percentage of body fat(PBF),improve the results of grip strength, standing long jump,sit-ups,sit and reach, and vital capacity, and reduce the time of 50 m run,1000m(male)/ 800m(female)run significantly. The effects of 7 different motor skill and fitness combined tranining styles on waist-to-hip ratio(WHR)and mental health were not significant. Conclusions: 20 min moderate-intensity motor skill and 10 min moderate-intensity fitness combined training is the most appropriate combined training styles. It can improve adolescent body composition, enhance cardiorespiratory function, and increase muscle strength and endurance, flexibility and speed significantly during 12 weeks.Suggestions: Physical education lessons should pay more attention to the fitness training, and try to apply the 20 min moderate-intensity motor skill and 10 min moderate-intensity fitness combined training styles.Motor skill training and fitness training should play a mutual compensatory role.Fitness training must innovate training contents and methods continuously, and ensure the diversity and fun of the training.Experiment 2: Objective: In order to construct a teaching model aimed at promoting adolescent physical and mental health, this research have taken junior high school students as the experimental subjects to study the effects of combined training instructed by different teaching methods on adolescent physical and mental health. Methods: This research has used the literature review method, experimental research method and mathematical statistics method. Results: 20 min moderate-intensity motor skill and 10 min moderate-intensity fitness combined training instructed by different teaching methods(3 times one week,12 weeks)can reduce PBF,improve the results of grip strength, standing long jump,sit-ups,sit and reach, and lung capacity, and reduce the time of 50 m run,1000m(male)/ 800m(female)run significantly. However, the combined training instructed by new curriculum teaching method can more effectively reduce PBF,improve results of standing long jump(female)and vital capacity, and reduce the time of 50 m run,1000m(male)/ 800m(female)run.The effects of combined training instructed by two different teaching methods on WHR and mental health were not significant. Conclusions: 20 min moderate-intensity motor skill and 10 min moderate-intensity fitness combined training instructed by two different teaching methods can improve adolescent body composition, enhance cardiorespiratory function, and increase muscle strength and endurance, flexibility and speed significantly during 12 weeks. However,Compared with the combined training instructed by normal teaching methods, the combined training instructed by new curriculum teaching methods can more effectively improve adolescent body composition, enhance cardiorespiratory function, and increase speed.Suggestions: Physical education lessons should pay more attention to the teaching methods.Physical education teachers cannot only play the role of “coach”,and should try to play the role of “physical educator”.Physical education lessons could apply the 20 min moderate-intensity motor skill and 10 min moderate-intensity fitness combined training styles instructed by new curriculum teaching mehods.Experiment 3: Objective: In order to construct a way to improve the quality of physical education lessons and promote physical and mental health of children and adolescents, this research have taken fifth grade and senior high school students as the experimental subjects to study the effect of 20 min moderate-intensity motor skill and 10 min moderate-intensity fitness combined training instructed by new curriculum teaching mehods on physical and mental health of children and adolescents. Methods: This research has used the literature review method, experimental research method and mathematical statistics method. Results: 20 min moderate-intensity motor skill and 10 min moderate-intensity fitness combined training instructed by new curriculum teaching mehods can reduce PBF,improve the results of grip strength, standing long jump,sit-ups,sit and reach, and vital capacity, and reduce the time of 50 m run,1000m(male)/ 800m(female)run significantly. The effects of this combined tranining styles on WHR and mental health were not significant. Conclusions: 20 min moderate-intensity motor skill and 10 min moderate-intensity fitness combined training instructed by new curriculum teaching mehods can be applied in primary and high school physical education lessons. It can significantly improve body composition, enhance cardiorespiratory function, and increase muscle strength and endurance, flexibility and speed of children and adolescents.Suggestions: Physical education lessons in basic education stage should apply the 20 min moderate-intensity motor skill and 10 min moderate-intensity fitness combined training instructed by new curriculum teaching methods actively.Physical education teachers should make use of theoretical lessons to interpret health knowledge, such as diet, energy intake and weight control. This may help reduce WHR of children and adolescent. In addition,a comprehensive psychological intervention program needs to be adopted by school. These measures contribute to improve the physical and mental health of children and adolescents comprehensively.
