In the science and education strategy context,the higher education is under rapid development and go to Popularization of Higher Education.University which is the core of knowledge innovation and talents becomes the important force in the national scientific and technological innovation.National education programme such "985 Project","211 Project" build solid fundation for the development of universities especially esearch universities.On May 7th 2012,the Ministry of Education officially launched the "Higher Innovation Capability Plan"(2011 Plan),focusing on collaborative innovation in four directions which is composed of science frontier,culture and heritage,industry and sector,and regional development.By breaking the university institutional barriers between external and internal borders,establishing different actors participated collaborative centers,2011 Plan promotes the innovation capability leveraging of university.However,the implementation of collaborative innovation still has bottlenecks,the mechanism between collaborative innovation and innovtion capability of university needs research.Thus,the article focuses on the topic of "research on mechanism between university knowledge collaboration and innovation capability" and explores three research question:1.the essence of university collaborative innovation and its influence factors;2.As the organization of knowledge resources,the constitute of university innovation capability from knowledge perspective;3.In the context of collaborative and innovation capability,the mechanism between university knowledge collaboration and innovation capability.The research process is as follows:first,focusing on the knowledge and knowledge innovation,collaborative innovation and knowledge collaboration,university innovation capability,the article discusses the connotation,classification,theoretical fundation and measurement from literature review;second,the article analyzes the current situation of China's university innovation capability,and by taking the case study of Stanford University and Zhejiang University,the article compares and summarizes the practices of knowledge collaboration and innovation capability between this two universities;third,under literature basis and practice review,the article establishes research model and proposes reseach hypothesis.By empirical analysis under 303 questionnaires,it verifies the theoretical hypothesis;finally,the article gives policy proposals from four aspects——improve knowledge management in university collaborative knowledge innovation activities,create organizational learning mechanisms of university collaborative innovation,reconstruct disciplinary and knowledge interface of university collaborative innovation,and construct information technology and network platform of university collaborative innovation.The research extends the theory of collaborative innovation and provides empirical case of research on university collaborative innovation.Under the integration of collaborative innovation theory and organizational ambidexterity and classification Quadrant of scientific research,the article discusses the mechanism between university knowledge collaboration and innovation capability,so as to answer the research questions and provide proposals for the development of China's university.
