Nowadays,many emotional problems,such as:social emotional disorder,social emotional anomie,and so on,have been social hot spots.Due to the situation of China and backgrounds of a series of social transformation,transition of political,economic,and cultural factors will have a great influence on emotional experience from individual and group forms.This is the beginning of the studies on emotional socialization.Socialization is the process of changing from natural person to social person.Emotional socialization is not only an indispensable part of the process of socialization for individuals,but also is an important mechanism of social production and reproduction.This research adopts the perspective of "emotional regime”in the study of emotional socialization for the first time.The complexity,difference and variability of emotional socialization under the social background of our country are brought into the research field.This research selected the whole sample of columns related to "Intimate Sister"on China Teenager Newspaper spanning fifty years as the research material,and adopted the research method of longitudinal content analysis.Through the vertical and horizontal multi-angle discussion of the emotional regime and emotional socialization discourse,the study draws the following conclusions:Idealistic emotional regime is the dominant emotional regime in 1960s and 1970s,under which a set of "collective supremacy" emotional socialization discourse has been constructed.The emotional tone is mainly "brave".The main melody of collectivist emotion is extremely prominent.The emotion tends to be polarized and one-sided and many emotions are placed in opposite positions to foil,strengthen and contrast collectivist emotion.There are corresponding discourse practices around this set of discourse to deal with the emotional relationship between the individual and the collective.Collectivist emotions outweigh everything and family functions are politicized.There are no difference between expectations of the emotional socialization of adults and children and adolescents.The concrete way of emotional education is firstly introspection.Then,it subtly infiltrates the emotions that are beneficial to the emotional socialization discourse and strengthen them with the counter-contrast technique.Due to emotions that do not conform to the requirements of the discourse,the method of contrast is also adopted to highlight their mistakes and the emotional relationship between the individual and the collective is used to criticize and exaggerate the harmful consequences to reverse them.Realistic emotional regime is the dominant emotional regime in 1980s and 1990s under which a set of "rational supremacy" emotional socialization discourse has been constructed.Firstly,because the emotional socialization discourse of "collective supremacy" has declined,idealism has returned to realism.The second reason is that the reform and opening-up has brought about economic take-off and raised higher and higher requirements for the development of science and technology.The strategic goal of "rejuvenating the country through science and education" has greatly raised the status of cognitive education to become the most important content in education and many kinds of emotions are related to it.The practice of emotional socialization discourse is firstly to deal with the emotional relationship between individuals and interactive significant others.The role of the core family in emotional education is becoming more and more important.The love of family ties has returned to the discourse of emotional socialization and the emotional tone is mainly "love".Children and adolescents have become the most concerned group in emotional education,which is characterized by instrumental rationality with the goal to serve cognitive education and thus adopt different educational forms for all kinds of emotions.If these sensibly treated emotions can promote the development of cognitive education,the process of socialization will be completed.If not,the process will need to be repeated through introspection and other educational methods to re-socialize the emotions.Egoistic emotional regime is the dominant emotional regime since twenty-first century under a set of "happiness supremacy" emotional socialization discourse which has been constructed.The emotional tone is mainly "happy" and the emotional socialization discourse of "rational supremacy" has gradually declined due to the many negative emotions it brings and the appeal for positive emotions which has been strengthened.The construction of "three sentences of happy life" and the corresponding "36 good friends of happy life" fully explains the connotation of this discourse.As emotions are gradually "seen" and no longer attached to others,emotions refer to individuals and return to themselves.Discourse practice mainly deals with the emotional relationship between individuals and themselves.The emotional environment is no longer confined to daily life,but also involves social life and public affairs.The emotions of Children and adolescents have been further highlighted.Emotions become the core of emotional education and negative emotions are often transformed into positive emotions that are beneficial to "happy life",by means of emotional education with the core of emotions.If it is difficult to transform,there are other ways of emotional education like to ignore,endure,forget,reflect and so on.If it is positive emotion feeled from the beginning,it should also be judged whether it conforms to the mainstream values through self-reflection and if not,this kind of emotion should also be re-socialized through emotional education to achieve the goal of "happy life".The relationship among the three dominant emotional regimes is a cross-progressive one.With the development of emotion regime,many changes have taken place in the discourse construction and discourse practice of emotion socialization,setting the tone for emotion connotation,emotion sequence,emotion relationship and emotion education in a period of time.The emotional education mode has changed from extreme to humanized,but the individual emotion that was originally suppressed has been paid more and more attention,so the emotional relationship between the individual and himself has become the core relationship handled by the emotional socialization discourse and the intergenerational relationship has also undergone a subversive change which reflect the individualization trend of the society.However,in view of the fact that our culture has always attached great importance to emotion,even in such an increasingly open and pluralistic period,it also shows a strong impulse and demand of trying to discipline emotion.Through the creation of the column image of the "Intimate Sister",emotional ties between the "Intimate Sister" and children and adolescents have been established.The purpose is to carry out emotional education,emphasize emotional unity and strengthen emotional socialization discourse.National will and instrumental rationality have reflected their influence on emotional discipline from different angles in each period.There has always been a highly simplified emotional judgment and inward attribution in emotional education,too.And the discourse of emotional socialization also has an intergenerational transmission effect.This study finally analyzes the emotional problems that may result from the excessive internalization of emotional socialization discourse,which may be the internal driving force for the change of the emotional regime itself in addition to the external structural factors such as politics,economy and society.On this basis,this dissertation discusses the new trend of emotional regime.Based on the understanding of social changes in China,the research explaining how these changes and their mechanisms have influenced the living conditions,experiences and feelings of contemporary Chinese through tortuous course,and trying to put forward suggestions on how to deal with social emotional problems from both individual and social aspects on the basis of theoretical analysis,and points out the direction of future efforts.In general,the discussion of emotional socialization from the perspective of emotional system can not only help interpersonal communication and inter-generational understanding,but also help to bring history into reality and provide a reference for understanding the fate and spirit of the times,which is of high research value.Emotional socialization is a bridge between seemingly individual level emotions and the overall level of social structure.Only by solving emotional problems in a virtuous circle from both individual and social levels can a real "good society" be formed.
