Research On The Green Consumption Concept Education Of College Students

Consumption is a necessary condition for the survival and development of human beings,as well as the starting point and destination of all economic and social activities.With constant development of productivity,social products are extremely enriched in a society.It can lead people's more and more activity on the consumption that promote self-development of humans and their realization on the value of lives.However,some people have shown the irrational even alienated consumption behavior because of deviation and angulation of consumption concept.Blindly pursued the "false needs" will leads to subjectivity and value loss,and the lopsided development of human beings.It would be harmful to the social sustainable development,and also br ing the "unbearable weight" disaster to natural environment.As the ruling idea of our Party and country,the fundamental purpose of green development is to unite the economic development and ecological conservation,to ensure harmony between human and human,human and society,and human and nature.The report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China points out,"We encourage simple,moderate,green,and low-carbon ways of life,and oppose extravagance and excessive consumption.We will launch initiatives to make Party and government offices do better when it comes to conservation,and develop eco-friendly families,schools,communities,and transport services."College students are the special consumptive group,who are playing the role of leading the trend of social consumption in the future.The consumption concept and behavior are rational or not,is not only related to the healthy growth for themselves and the effects of ideological and political education in colleges,but also has the important influence to economic and social development and building an ecological civilization."Different times will give people the different brand of consumption.”Research suggests that the consumption concept of college students have shown the different characteristics on the different development periods of our society.It would be match with the evolution direction to the main stream of social consumption,meanwhile it must has the specific growth tracks of their groups.The survey found that on the whole,the consumption view of college students is rational.The students are mainly focusing on the needs of survival and consumption.The form of consumptions are enriched,and their characteristics are tend to be diversification.College students pay more attention to consumption experience,but they still have some contradictions,such as strong consumption demand and independent economy,follow the general trend and advocate individuality in consumption,rational appropriate and alienated misshapen consumption,more waste and less green consumption,the strong desire and the weak knowledge of consumption.The study show that green consumption is strikingly different from the frugal and conservative view of consumption in tradition period,and it is the civilized and healthy consumption concept in the new era.Base on the consumption thought of Marxism,we advise on effective paths for green consumption concept education of college students which is under principles of socialist core values,guided by the idea of green development,with the key role in colleges,government,society and families,and through ways of value guidance,class teaching,thematic education,environment nourishment,network publicity,family edification and system guaranty.We aim to help college students to establish the green consumption view,to form the green developed thought and life style,to meet college student's "ever-increasing needs for a better life",and to promote the growing up and developing in a free and all-round way of them.
