Volunteer teaching activity can promote the growth of unspecified people by improving their knowledge construction,moral cultivation,personality formation,and mental health.It is voluntary,educational and non-profit.Volunteerism is the core thought of volunteer teaching activity.It is the convergence of public spirit,the ideal moral personality and the value that human beings pursue after reflecting on modernity problem.Therefore,promoting volunteer teaching activity is to fit volunteerism into social life.In other words,they are complementary.Volunteer teaching activity is good for alleviating the allocation imbalance of Chinese educational resources,providing personalized support to vulnerable groups of children,guiding members of society to actively participate in public life,and then pursuing a moral and complete life.The study focuses on the advantages and disadvantages of the incentive mechanism of both countries and explores the method to perfect the incentive mechanism of Chinese college students volunteer teaching activities by taking Chinese and Japanese college students volunteer teaching activities as research objects and basing on humanistic incentive theory.Incentive mechanism is the sum of all the methods,links and other institutional arrangements which incentives depend on.It is a rational system for reflecting the interaction between incentive subjects and incentive objects,including three dimensions: incentive spatial dimension-the level of incentive;incentive time dimension-the motivation process;motivation logic dimension-various motivating factors.According to those three dimensions,the study analyzes volunteer teaching activity incentive mechanism,including mobilization methods,legal environment,value recognition,motivation management,operation means,evaluation feedback,guarantee and reward,which construct the basic structure of analyzing advantages and disadvantages of two countries' mechanisms and putting up with relevant strategies.The study adopts the research method of combining text analysis with empirical investigation.The study combs the thinking sources,practice evolution course,legal system establishment and policy and measure implementation of Chinese and Japanese college students volunteer teaching activities.With the help of quantitative and qualitative research method,the empirical survey collected samples from 12 universities in China and Japan,including 442 questionnaire samples,176 interview samples,201 work samples,and 30,000 words' logs.It is found that there are both advantages and disadvantages in Chinese and Japanese volunteer teaching activity incentive mechanism.By learning from Japanese mechanism,we can improve ours.The government's top-down promotion,motivation cultivation,taking into account the individual and collective,and overall allocation of materials are the advantages of the incentive mechanism of Chinese college students volunteer teaching activities,which should be continued.At the same time,there are six deficiencies in China,such as the strong government leadership,the imperfect legal environment,the difficulty of self-worth identification,the lack of specialization of college students' voluntary organizations,the poor feedback of evaluation and insufficient guarantee.The main problems in the incentive mechanism of Japanese volunteer teaching activity are vague motivation,imperfect organizational structure and insufficient supervision and evaluation.Based on the analysis of the existing problems and causes,this paper puts forward some strategies to improve the incentive mechanism of Chinese volunteer teaching activity,such as simplifying administration and delegating power,activating the vitality of non-governmental voluntary organizations.Excellent incentive strategy can promote the self-transcendence of volunteers,so that volunteer activity becomes the display of internal value,which can integrate with singular self then becomes an integral part of the individual.
