Research On Entrepreneurial Social Capital,dynamic Capability And Business Model Innovation

With the rapid change of external market environment under the background of network economy,more and more enterprises realize that business model innovation has become an important means for enterprises to obtain and maintain market competitive advantage in addition to traditional products,services and technology innovation,at the same time,business model innovation research has become one of the hot issues in academic circles.In theory,the research on the internal mechanism of traditional innovation methods such as enterprise technology has been more in-depth and made important progress.In contrast,the research on business model innovation has just started.In the study of business model innovation,scholars have pointed out that the information,knowledge and other resources owned by enterprises are important drivers of business model innovation.On the other hand,the rapid development of internet and information technology has greatly expanded the resource boundaries of enterprises,relying solely on internal resources has been difficult to support their innovative needs,how to obtain and use external resources better has become a common choice of enterprises.Entrepreneurs become the key for enterprises to obtain external resources as a natural link between enterprises and the external environment.Entrepreneurs acquire all kinds of resources needed for enterprises ' development and innovation through its embedded social network thus constituting the social capital of entrepreneurs.However,entrepreneur social capital can really directly drive enterprise business model innovation? Is there any differences between different types of entrepreneurs' social capital on the process of different types of business model innovation? These important problems that reveal the relationship between entrepreneur social capital and business model innovation need to be solved.In order to explain the questions above,this paper analyses the relationship among(entrepreneurs)social capital,dynamic capability and(business model)innovation of enterprise in the existing literature.Based on the theoretical derivation,this paper propose the study contents:(1)The paper constructs the theoretical analysis framework of the relationshipamong the entrepreneur social capital,dynamic capability and business model innovation.This paper systematically expounds the theoretical relationship between entrepreneur social capital,dynamic capability and business model innovation.(2)This paper analyses that entrepreneur social capital has a significant impact on dynamic capability and business model innovation,dynamic capability has a significant impact on business model innovation,and entrepreneur social capital realizes business model innovation by improving enterprise dynamic capability.Then,the paper puts forward the theoretical assumptions.(3)In the context of this study,This paper determines the measurement items and methods of the research variables,designs questionnaire.the reliability and validity of the formal questionnaire were analyzed by using principal component analysis,and large-scale formal investigation and data collection were carried out.(4)This paper applies on three dimensions of business model innovation: content,structure and governance,that verifies the mechanism of each variable and its different dimensions on different dimensions questionnaires of the variable to be interpreted by using the analytic hierarchy process of adding control variables.(5)Based on the results of theoretical research and empirical examination,the paper puts forward some research implications on expanding the social relations network of entrepreneurs to obtain more social capital,cultivates and implements the active role of dynamic ability,and optimize the matching of internal and external resources and capabilities.The main findings and conclusions of this study include:(1)The "resource and ability" combination of entrepreneur social capital and dynamic capability is a necessary condition for the innovation of business model.Entrepreneurial social capital and dynamic capabilities are complementary.The combination of "resources and capabilities" can provide a new path to business model innovation.The combination of entrepreneurial social capital and dynamic capabilities influences the level of business model innovation.(2)The social capital of entrepreneur in different dimensions contributes to the innovation of business model.The interaction of different dimensions of entrepreneur social capital positively influences the different dimensions of business model innovation.However,the two dimensions of entrepreneur social capital interaction cannot push or even hinder business model innovation.(3)Entrepreneurial social capital to achieve business model innovation through the intermediary to enhance the dynamic capabilities of enterprises.There are two intermediary paths of cognitive ability and innovative ability in this process.The social capital of entrepreneurs in different dimensions have impact on different dimensions of business model innovation in the path,level and extent through cognitive ability and innovation ability.(4)There are differences in the mediating effect of corporate cognitive ability and innovation ability in the role of entrepreneur's social capital in business model innovation.Compared with cognitive ability,innovation ability plays a more important intermediary role in the impact of entrepreneurs' social capital on business model content innovation and governance innovation.Cognitive ability plays a more important intermediary role in the impact of entrepreneurs' social capital on business model structure innovation than innovation ability.The innovation of this study includes the following three aspects:(1)Theoretically,this paper puts forward and empirically tests the influence mechanism of entrepreneur's social capital on business model innovation,and deepens the research on the mechanism of antecedents and variables of business model innovation.This study reveals the impact process and mechanism of different dimensions of entrepreneur's social capital on different dimensions of business model innovation,and enriches the relevant theories of antecedents and variables of business model innovation.It makes up for the lack of neglecting the interaction between different dimensions of social capital in previous studies,and fills the gap that previous studies have failed to deeply explore the internal mechanism of interaction between different dimensions of entrepreneur social capital and business model innovation.(2)This study puts forward the theoretical analysis framework of the relationship between entrepreneur social capital,dynamic ability and business model innovation,and reveals the role of entrepreneur social capital in business model innovation " black box".This is the first time I've had a job.This study introduces dynamic capability as a key intermediary variable,through the empirical test system to connect the antecedents of business model innovation,intermediate process and innovation effect,from the perspective of resources to make up for the lack of business model innovation process research,enrich the business model innovationrelated theory.(3)This study identifies two intermediary paths between entrepreneur's social capital and business model innovation,reveals the mediating effect of cognitive ability and innovation ability on differentiation between entrepreneur's social capital and business model innovation from the perspective of heterogeneous dynamic ability,enriches the dynamic ability theory,and makes up for the important significance of neglecting management cognition to influence business model innovation in previous studies.(4)This study reveals and tests the realization mechanism of different dimensions of business model innovation,and deepens the business model innovation theory.This study systematically verifies that the cognitive ability and / or innovation ability are the important paths to realize the content,structure and governance dimensions of business model innovation,deepens the understanding of the realization path of business model innovation in different dimensions,and enriches the existing business model innovation theory.
