Study On Dalian Jinshitan Seaside Tourism Area's Evolution Process,Mechanism And Regulating Strategies

Western scholars started to focus on the evolution laws of tourism area from 1950 s.they had realized that the evolution of tourism elements would influence tourism area system deeply.The tourism area life cycle theory(TALC)was presented by Butler in 1980,which described six stages,summarized the elements changing and the mechanism in evolution process of tourism area.TALC became the most classical theory and populared in academia of Northe American,European and Australian.Chinese tourism scholars introduced the theory in 1990 s as well.TALC became the most popular tool in tourism planning and research,which was also tested in different cases by many acamedics and amended in many details.The most important focus was the the evolution morphology and stages of tourism area of different type resource,but seldom attention was given to the difference result from the macro-background of tourism area.The paper study on the details of Jinshitan seaside tourism area's evolution process base on the TALC theoy and pay attention to the diffenrce result from the new respective of historical background of China.Jinshitan seaside tourism area has very superior natural resources but is lack of humane and cultural tourism resources,which determines the evolution process and features.As a nominated national park and resort successively,Jinshitan has been developed more than 30 years.It is useful and valuable to study and summarize the evolution elements and mechanism details elaborately in different stages of Jinshitan.The experience and lessons are important not olny to the development of Jinshitan in future but also to the new national resort strategies in China.The paper consists six parts.Charter one is introduction,which introduces the background,the great value and significance of the research,and introduce the research techniques briefly.Charter two introduces the concepts framework,base theories and the research summary of home and abroad about tourism area evolution and management.The main concepts include tourism,resort tourism,evolution theories,the resort evolution theories and administration theories,making a summary and comments after reviewing the main reserch literatures.Charter three studies the evolution stages and analyzes the evolution of main factors in Jinshitan.There are five stages in the evolution process of tourism area,these are exploration stage,protective stages,rapid development stage,transition and stabilization stage,and stagnation and fluctuation stage.the characters are researched elaborately between tourism supply and demand system.Charter four researches the evolution mechanism of Jinshitan area,analyzes of influence factors,concludes the core driving mechanism,the restriction mechanism,the interface and destroying mechanism and guarantee mechanism of evolution process in the seaside tourism area.The government and the local large-scale enterprise are the main parts of the pushing force in tourism industry of Jinshitan.The tourism supply system is the leading side while the tourism demands is the feedback side,coupling force of supply and demand is the core power of evolution of tourism system,coupling failure of demand and supply has caused great loss in a very long time.The tourism carrying capacity,the development of economy,the changing of population,the local environment events and national political risks influence the evolution process through influence the tourism suppy or demand.Charter five,summarizing the main problems in tourism industry development of Jinshitan and gives the corresponding regulating strategies.The traditional patten of large scale capital and investment come to an end because of the space limitation,the demand of tourism is always changing,the conclusion,summarizing the main result,innovation and weakness.There are two main sides innovations,new method that Delphi technique is used in analyzing the stages and main characters,and new pattern is given which is different from the classic TALC theory,the character of tourists and the participation level in tourism industry are different in every stages,and the interaction between tourists and aborigines in tourism area evolution process is also influenced by national potical background,economic structure and commercial awareness.The new practical administration theory on tourism area,judging and managing the carrying capacity and resilience of tourism area through investigating the resident and tourists' attitude and perception,which is the way to sustainable target of tourism area system.there's two sides weak in the reserch.Firstly,some data coming from the government is inaccuracy while it's the exclusive source about Jinshitan tourism industry.Secondly,the author gets the first-hand data by deep interview with tourists by nonrandom sampling,which leads the data can only be used in describe the sample,while it is insufficient in deduce the population,which results in the limition of the data's value.The prospects of the research,that more comparative studies are necessary in development management of tourism area,scholars will be dedicated to the the decline stages and study countermeasure of development transformation and enhancing resilence of tourism industy in recession phase.
