Traditional management theories and practice mostly sprang up in the western world after the Industrial Revolution,and thus formed its ideological foundation by Western philosophical thoughts.The "embodiment" of these philosophical thoughts largely determines the "embodiment" orientation of management theory and practice.The philosophical basis of the traditional mainstream concept and connotation of leadership is disembodied,weaken or overlooked the role of the body and its perceptual experience,so that the body is only in a "carrier" or marginal position.In the perspective of embodied cognition,the "body" in leadership is placed at the center by emphasizing the perceptual experience and physical state of the body.This greatly challenges the connotation of traditional leadership,thus reinterpreting leadership and its essence.In recent years,under the influence of body phenomenology and embodied cognitive theory,the frontier research of sociology,psychology,management,organizational behavior and other disciplines has undergone extensive "body turn".In the field of leadership and its development,more and more researchers begin to rethink the relationship between body and leadership.Although increasing western leadership studies have begun to rethink the relationship between leadership and body,it is not clear how to affect and how the embodied factors affect leadership.Understanding and applying personal leadership is the key.From the perspective of embodied cognitive theory,leadership can be interpreted as a process of embodied interaction between leaders and followers.Considering the above factors,this thesis combines the theoretical research of cognitive science,psychology,local culture and other dimensions.In terms of topic selection,people usually pay attention to the development of leadership at a certain level or to the expansion of leadership theory.They focus the role of body in leadership and the influence of physical experience and environment on leadership.Under this premise,clarify the concept connotation of embodied,and then guide the actual research work.In the first chapter of this thesis criticizes the essence of leadership from the perspective of embodied cognition.Researchers analyzed the essence of leadership at micro level(including event level and individual level),middle level(group level)and macro level(organization level).They consider that leadership is composed of leaders,followers and their common goals.However,from the perspective of embodied cognition,leadership is actually a two-way interactive process based on a certain situation.Physical factors affect the generation of leadership such as body posture,body movements and so forth.Leadership can not exist independently without specific situations.Gender,ethnic and cultural differences related to leadership affect leadership,such as physical or situational factors.In the second chapter of this thesis,in-depth analysis of the impact of physical factors on leadership.Starting from the "embodied" trend of cognitive science development,this thesis summarizes the specific influence of physical factors on leadership behavior.Firstly,the body directly affects the perceptual experience of the leader and the leader at the most basic perceptual level,and then affects the leadership.The pivotal prerequisite for the formation of leadership relationship,the construction of leadership,and affects the willingness and degree of integration of the leader or follower into the leadership process.On the other hand,with the influence of feeling and perceptual experience,it will form corresponding leadership knowledge,which will help leaders to understand and grasp the invisible and untouchable side of leadership process.Secondly,the presence experience of the body impacts the self-awareness of leaders and followers,interpersonal communication,problem solving,identity,meaning construction and other key issues.The influence of embodied factors on leadership can be realized in three ways: physiological-physical way,situational and situational action way,and metaphorical way.At a deeper level,these influence modes have specific psychological mechanisms.In the third chapter of this thesis,embodied character is a basic characteristic of leadership,trying to grasp leadership and its essence more completely from the body.At present,there is no research to clarify the corresponding classification of the embodied factors affecting leadership,lack of interaction between various embodied factors on leadership and gender,and the mode of interaction.The research is conducted through questionnaire survey and analysis.By compiling the questionnaire of embodied leadership,the physical factors affecting leadership are classified,the reliability and validity of the questionnaire are analyzed,and the questionnaire of measuring the structure of embodied leadership is formed,and the structural model of embodied leadership is constructed.In the fourth chapter of this thesis,leadership development is the organization in the implementation of the basic tasks of leadership development,from the cognitive perspective and challenging the traditional pattern of leadership development,introduced the improvisation,operation training and leadership development model,in the body structure model is proposed on the basis of leadership from the leadership development of the target,content,process and environment four aspects to build and the training model of leadership.This thesis expounds the concept connotation and essential view of leadership,and analyzes the influencing factors of leadership from the aspects of situation,cultural factors and individual factors by combing the literature of leadership research at home and abroad.From the perspective of embodied cognition,this thesis analyzes and reveals the psychological mechanism and process of the influence of physical experience on the cognition and behavior of leadership.By sorting out and analyzing the realization form and concept connotation of embodied leadership,this thesis reveals the context relationship of the conceptual model of embodied leadership and the interpretation of embodied leadership.Based on the above research,this thesis critically reflects on the development model of leadership for the first time,and finds new presuppositions from the perspective of embodied cognition,and then explores the thinking of the development model of embodied leadership.With a view to the future research of embodied leadership from the perspectives of its conceptual connotation,measurement method,influence mechanism,biological basis,applied research and cultural context.Focusing on the internal motivation of embodied leadership,this thesis takes the issue of embodied leadership effect as the axis to reveal the development dilemma of embodied leadership,as well as the enlightenment and development trend of current leadership development.
