Research On The Influence Mechanism Of Supply Chain Relationship Quality On New Ventures Growth Performance

Entrepreneurship has become an important strategy measure for Chinese economic transformation and upgrading.New ventures are the key carrier for implementation of this important strategy and leading force for the successful development of entrepreneurial activities.In the context of supply-side reform,promoting the healthy growth of new ventures and cultivating them into sustainable competitive organizations which have become a strategic choice for China to promote the landing of the "Innovation&Entrepreneurship" policy in the realistic context.In recent years,the entrepreneurship activities are growing vigorously,and how to promote the sustainable growth of new ventures has become an important practical issue to be solved urgently.Because of the "liability of newness",new ventures are facing more complex survival environment,through the high quality of supply chain relationship to obtain the necessary resources,which has gradually become a strong support for the sustainable growth of new ventures.Unfortunately,most research in existing literature is based on developed countries,mature enterprises and even reaches divergent conclusions.After reviewing the literature,it is found that there are few theoretical studies on the impact of supply chain relationship quality on growth performance of new venture,especially in the context of China,so it is an urgent need to solve this theoretical problem in order to provide theoretical support for the new venture growth.So,this paper follows the scientific research paradigm,based on the literature review and practical problems analysis,and focuses on the research issue,then answers the following three research questions layer by layer:First,how does the quality of supply chain relationship affect the growth performance of new ventures?What is the moderation mechanism?Second:how does the quality of supply chain relationship affect the growth performance through mediator variables?What is the mediation mechanism?Third:how does the quality of supply chain relationship dynamically affect the growth performance?What is the evolution mechanism?The three questions are systematically analyzed through three sub-studies.Sub-study 1(moderating effect)pays attention to the basic influence mechanism of this study.Sub-study 2(Moderated mediation model)extends and expands on the basis of sub-study 1,focusing on cracking the internal bridging mechanism,and sub-study 3(evolution mechanism)is based on the static analysis of sub-study 1 and 2,and conducts in-depth analysis from the perspective of dynamic evolution.The three sub-studies constitute the logical framework and analytical path of the impact of supply chain relationship quality on the growth performance of new ventures,thus providing theoretical support and practical guidance for the sustainable development of new ventures.This paper forms the following main research conclusions and made some theoretical contribution.First,through the large sample data test of sub-study 1,this paper analyses the relationship and moderating effect of supply chain relationship quality on the growth performance of new ventures,and draws the following conclusions:supply chain relationship quality has an inverted U-shaped relationship with innovative growth performance of new ventures,while has a positive relationship with market growth performance.Innovation orientation has a significant moderating effect only in the process of supply chain relationship quality affecting the innovation growth performance.Market orientation has a significant moderating effect in the process of supply chain relationship quality affecting innovation and market growth performance.This study makes clarifies the divergent conclusions that some scholars think that the quality of supply chain relationship has an inverted U-shaped or simple linear relationship with the performance,which develop the supply chain relationship management theory.In addition,the moderator mechanism of innovation and market orientation between supply chain relationship quality and growth performance is discussed,which also provides reference for new ventures to take appropriate strategic guidance and has important theoretical significance.Second,through the large sample data test of sub-study 2,this paper explores the internal mediation impact mechanism of supply chain relationship quality on the growth performance,and draws the following conclusions:supply chain relationship quality influences the innovative growth performance of new ventures through knowledge reconfiguration capability,and influences the market growth performance through marketing integration capability.Moreover,the interaction between supply chain relationship quality and environmental dynamics can influence innovative growth performance through knowledge reconfiguration capability.The interaction between supply chain relationship quality and environmental dynamics can influence market growth performance through marketing integration capability.This paper systematically and comprehensively analyses the "black box" of establishing appropriate supply chain relationship to improve the growth performance of new ventures,which enrich the research on the mediated mechanism that the supply chain relationship quality affects growth performance of new ventures.Third,through the multi-stage single case study of sub-study 3,this paper explores the vertical evolution mechanism of supply chain relationship quality on the growth performance,and draws the following conclusions:the quality of supply chain relationship affects the growth performance of new ventures dynamically.According the developing stages(starting stage,rapid growth stage,relatively perfection stage),the new venture could build appropriate supply chain relationship with external cooperative organizations.Based on the life cycle theory,this paper analyzes the driving factors and evolution law of supply chain relationship quality in different growth stages.To explore the dynamic evolution mechanism of supply chain relationship quality affects new venture growth.It enables new ventures to construct appropriate quality of supply chain relationship according to the dynamic changes of their own developing stages,thus promoting growth performance.Based on the reality problem and theory of supply chain relationship quality,this paper explores the impact mechanism of supply chain relationship quality on new ventures growth performance,which expanded and deepened the new ventures growth theory in existing literature.The main contributions of this paper are following.Theoretical contribution I,this paper constructs the basic theoretical model of supply chain relationship quality affecting the growth performance of new venture,which clarifies the divergence of research conclusions in the existing literature,and enriches the contingency theory of new ventures promote innovation and market growth performance through supply chain relationship quality.Theoretical contribution ?,the paper establishes the IPO model of supply chain relationship quality affecting the growth performance,and then analyses the internal intermediary mechanism between the two variables,which enriches the relevant research of supply chain relationship quality theory,enterprise capability theory and the new venture growth theory,and also has important theoretical value for establishing and maintaining sustainable competitive advantage in the development process of new ventures.Theoretical contribution ?,this paper established a dynamic development model of supply chain relationship quality affecting the growth performance,and explored the vertical evolution process between them.In the perspective of dynamic evolution,based on the theory of environmental uncertainty,resource endowment and strategic matching,this paper analyses the evolution mechanism of supply chain relationship quality effect on the new ventures growth from the initial stage to the maturity stage,which makes up for the gaps of previous literature seldom consider the influence of supply chain relationship quality on new ventures growth and change law from the perspective of time,proposes strategies for promoting the new ventures growth according different developing stages,which provides theoretical guidance for new ventures sustainable growth.
