Abstract/Summary:
We studied the strange contributions to the elastic vector and axial form factors of the nucleon using all available elastic electroweak scattering data. Specifically, we combine clastic nup and nup scattering cross-section data from the Brookhaven E734 experiment with elastic ep and quasi-elastic ed and e 4He scattering parity-violating asymmetry data from the SAMPLE, HAPPEx, PVA4 and G 0 experiments. We not only determined these form factors at individual values of momentum-transfer (Q2), as other groups have done recently, but also fit the Q2-dependence of these form factors using simple functional forms. I present an overview of the G0 backward-angle experiment as well as the results of these fits using existing data, along with some expectations of how we can improve our knowledge of these form factors if the MicroBooNE collaboration completes their experiment.
