Abstract/Summary:
This research involving 200 graduates of a small university MBA program in the state of Iowa. This research seeks to test the association between five specific leadership practices and the organizational commitment of MBA graduates. The participants of this research live in many different areas of the United States and work for many different employers. This research also tested the organizational commitment antecedents of gender, age and years of service. The five leadership practices are associated with the theory and behavior of transformational leadership. In recent history, transformational leadership theory and practice has gained acceptance and has been a major subject of research. The methodology for this research utilizes a leadership questionnaire, a organizational commitment questionnaire and a demographics questionnaire.
