Abstract/Summary:
This study examined factors that may have contributed to enlisted members of the United States Air Force earning an increased number of associate in applied science degrees from the Community College of the Air Force during the period October 2001 to October 2005. This phenomenon occurred during a period of heightened world tension that saw a substantial increase in deployments of airmen away from their home stations. The study considered four different questions; the impact of an increase in tuition assistance for off duty college courses from 75% to 100% upon CCAF degree completion; the impact of the military command climate environment on CCAF degree completion; the relationship between deployment frequency and degree completion; the impact of an increased number of on-line college courses upon airmen in their degree completion endeavors.
