The continuous prolongation of population life has brought more and more pressure to China's pension cause.Delaying the retirement age is already imperative.The parallel between "not rich and old" and low retirement age is a prominent problem in China's economic and social development at present,and delaying retirement age has become an inevitable choice for the reform of endowment insurance system,however,the relationship between delayed retirement and employment is an important issue that policymakers should consider carefully.There may also be a "conflict" between policies to raise retirement age and employment.On the one hand,long-term occupation of jobs by older persons can crowd out employment opportunities or wage rates for young people,leading to higher unemployment;on the other hand,there is heterogeneity between older persons and young people in terms of skills,work experience,educational attainment,etc.,The two types of labor are not exactly alternative relationships,but are likely to be complementary.Whether it is an alternative or complementary relationship between the policy of raising retirement age and employment,and what is the impact mechanism of this is obviously a matter of general concern to society.Based on the two-stage overlapping generation model,this papercalculates the optimal retirement age under different life expectancy,calculates the influence of delayed retirement age on labor participation rate according to the analysis of slow and fast two schemes,and finds that the delayed retirement age will lead to a significant increase in labor participation rate,using correlation analysis,regression analysis,Fixed effect model and other methods to study the impact of increased life expectancy on the employment of youth groups,the results show that delayed retirement has a negative impact on young people's employment,but this impact has significant industry differences.Finally,the corresponding suggestions are given,while carrying out the progressive delayed retirement policy,we should pay attention to the industry difference of youth group employment,encourage young people to change the concept of employment,go to the grass-roots perspective,and construct a relatively relaxed and just employment environment.
