| This Executive Position Paper is a one-to-one laptop implementation plan for Pittsgrove Township Schools that can be used as a template for other districts with similar interests. Each of the three chapters fulfills a major purpose. In Chapter One the paper is designed to substantiate the need for the Pittsgrove Township School District to establish a more effective ubiquitous computing program for its students than it has currently. To accomplish that goal, in Chapter Two an evaluative study of one-to-one programs in other school districts has been conducted to identify models and glean lessons that will benefit Pittsgrove. Finally, in Chapter Three the paper concludes with a plan to implement a one-to-one laptop program in grades eight through twelve in the Pittsgrove Township School District. |
