Calligraphy is the cultural treasure and spiritual wealth of the Chinese nation.Calligraphy education is the inevitable choice for building a strong socialist culture in the new era.However,with the popularization of the Internet and the extensive use of electronic products,people's writing ability and habits have gradually deteriorated,and calligraphy has gradually faded out of our sight.Calligraphy education has become more precarious.Compared with the politically,economically and culturally concentrated urban areas,calligraphy education is the weak link in China's rural areas,where there are about 600 million people.In this context,this paper takes ye county L middle school as an example to investigate and study the calligraphy teaching in township middle schools.This research mainly adopts three methods of literature method,questionnaire method and interview method,combined with observation method to study the status of the implementation of calligraphy teaching in township junior middle schools.The development course and contemporary value of Chinese calligraphy education are summarized by literature method,which provides necessary theoretical preparation for the research of this paper.The questionnaire mainly involves five aspects: students' interest and motivation in calligraphy learning,basic situation of calligraphy learning,feedback of calligraphy teaching,expectation of calligraphy teaching and the influence of network on calligraphy learning.The interview method mainly involves three aspects: the professional level of calligraphy teachers,the implementation of calligraphy teaching,and the Suggestions of calligraphy teaching.Meanwhile,it also interviews school leaders and parents.Through the above comprehensive investigation and research,this paper found that there are mainly five aspects of calligraphy teaching in township junior high schools: first,students lack of understanding,poor writing level;Second,teachers lack of energy,attention is not enough;Third,the teaching goal is vague,the evaluation standard is different;Fourth,the teaching content is boring,the teaching method is single;Fifth,the calligraphy teaching material is out of gauge,hardware facilities are not complete.The reasons are as follows: first,students advocate fast food culture and ignore traditional culture;Second,the teacher's professional level is low,the calligraphy accomplishment needs to be improved;Third,the course standard is not perfect,the training system is not sound;Fourth,the curriculum is not reasonable,the subject homework is too much;Fifth,the family economic conditions are poor,parents pay attention to cultural classes.In view of many problems and attribution analysis in calligraphy teaching in township junior middle schools,this paper combined with actual classroom teaching,put forward countermeasures and Suggestions to improve calligraphy teaching in township junior middle schools from four aspects.Second,strengthen the professional skills of calligraphy teachers,carry out professional training of calligraphy teachers,and actively recruit new calligraphy teachers;Thirdly,we should optimize calligraphy teaching in class,expand calligraphy activities after class,and promote the reform of calligraphy teaching in school.Fourth,the state and local education departments should strengthen the construction of calligraphy teaching materials and optimize the evaluation system of calligraphy teaching.
