Women have made significant progress in their career choices. But, there still are differences in the experiences of women in various occupations. The performed study compared the non-traditional career of women in staff accounting to the traditional career of women in K-12 teaching. A mixed method approach was implemented using Paul Spector's Job Satisfaction Survey (1997), followed by a selection of qualitative interviews. The goal was to gain insight, reveal differences, and identify any needed changes that may help improve the career development of women in non-traditional careers. |
