Abstract/Summary:
This dissertation considers the problem of free will in the context of the history of the question, particularly in light of the growing neuroscientific knowledge of the past several years. The impact neuroscience has had on the question of free will, and by extension its moral, political, legal, and religious implications are considered. In particular, the implications of Walter Freeman's conception of neurodynamics are explored.
