Abstract/Summary:
The purpose of this study was to identify what urban principals reported as most important 21st Century Skills for secondary school teachers to implement in their classrooms. For the purpose of this study, Marzano's (2003) right work model framework comprised of the school level factor of guaranteed and viable curriculum was used to examine what urban secondary school principals report as most important 21st Century Skills for teachers to implement in their classrooms.;A quantitative study of urban secondary school principals in the northeastern region of the United States was conducted. An online research survey was conducted to determine what essential 21st Century Skill content, skills and use of instructional time were reported as most important by urban secondary school principals.
