Another purpose of this current study was to investigate whether social skills or adult development have any effect on obtaining employment after college in U.S. college graduates. The results from the study indicated that no significant relationship between self-esteem, social skills, and adult development on job satisfaction. However, results did indicate that those who scored high on adult development, were also likely to score high on self-esteem. Regarding social skills and adult development, neither construct better predicated the chance of obtaining employment after college.
