Container Terminal is the transport hub station of land and sea, and it plays a very important role in a globalized economy. Improving the scheduling level of handling equipment in container terminal, allocating the existing handling resources of container terminal rationally, all these can improve the efficiency of container handling and reduce the operating costs of terminals, shipping companies and cargo owners. The operations of planning and scheduling in container terminal were studied in this paper from different levels and application perspective, the main research contents include:First, the collaboration of planning and scheduling aspects in the container terminal operations is studied, considering that a variety of emergency situations may occur in the scheduling process, using the rolling plan method to implement the adjustment of the operations plan, appliing the information technology to achieve the implementation of cooperative handling equipment scheduling, so to achieve optimal operational efficiency of handling equipment, and to improve the service level and competitiveness of container port.Second, since the berth and quay container terminals are scarce resources, how to dispatch them reasonablly is the hot issue in the optimization of container terminal production areas. Aim at the actual situation of existing berths and quay cranes scheduling in container terminal, a cooperative scheduling model of the berth and quay cranes is established in this paper. The model is not only suitful for the daily berth and quay crane scheduling, but also for the berth and quay crane cooperative scheduling at emergency cases, and the model is solved based on genetic algorithm.Third, considering the adoption of the new handling equipment in container terminal, the collaborative scheduling problem in container terminal operating system using dual-trolley quay cranes is studied, and the handling cooperative scheduling model is constructed between container quay cranes and trailors, the goal is to minimize the completed time of ship handling task and the empty load mileage of trailors. And the two-stage tabu search algorithm is designed to solve the problem, the scheduling algorithm uses "work group" scheduling mode for trailors, and feeds back the results to quay crane scheduling, so to achieve the collaborative optimization of quay cranes and trailors. Fourth, the cooperated plan of the quay crane, trailors and yard in one-way operation for the emergency vessel operation are studied. In order to improve the efficiency of loading and unloading equipment in container terminal, reduce the waiting time container ship in port, considering the operation plan in parallel consideration and united scheduling for different types of handling equipment in container terminal, such as quay cranes, trailors and gantry cranes, takes different constraints influence between the handling equipments into consideration, a mixed integer programming model is constructed, and obtains approximate solutions for integrated scheduling problem using heuristic algorithm.Fifth, the cooperated plan of quay cranes, gantry cranes and container truck for loading and unloading two way operation in the container terminal are studied. Within the planning period scope, considering the loading and unloading sequence of quay cranes, gantry cranes, and the professional needs of inland customers for fetching container and submitting container, establishes a cooperative scheduling optimization model based on the loading and unloading of container flow, let the trailors be shared between all the vessels, so to reduce the unload driving rate of internal trailors in the marina area, to achieve the overall system optimization finally. Considering the complexity of the model, intelligent genetic algorithm is designed to solve the model.In summary, through analyzing the production scheduling theory, cooperative scheduling model of container terminal handling operations were established, such as berths and quay cranes, quay cranes and trailors, quay cranes, trailors and gantry cranes, so to get the operational plan of different handling equipments, and the interoperability of the loading and unloading operations planning and scheduling is studied finally. In the algorithm aspects, appliing the genetic algorithms, improved rule heuristic algorithm, tabu search algorithm and neural network to solve the scheduling model, which have stronger reference to the operational efficiency of container terminals quantitative research. Finally, using example to validate the model and algorithm, all these provide a very useful reference on how to improve overall operational efficiency and loading and unloading equipment optimization scheduling in container terminal.
