A Taxonomic Study On Chinese Species Of Subfamily Tetrastichinae (Hymenoptera:Eulophidae)

As important natural enemies,Tetrastichinae wasps have a wide range of parasitism.In this study,we studied Tetrastichinae in China,classified and identified Tetrastichinae,increased the species and quantity of specimens in our school,enriched the natural enemy resources of Tetrasticinae in China,guided the implementation of biological control in agriculture and forestry,and provided a theoretical basis for the further study of biodiversity.The taxonomic study on Tetrastichinae from China was carried out based on the morphological characters of about 2000 specimens(including nearly 600 slides and 90 cards)from the Insect Collection of NEFU collected by myself and lab members using sweeping,yellow pan trapping,malaise trapping and host rearing.All species were collected from more than 100 places in 27 provinces and cities from China,including Daxing' anling area in Inner Mongolia in the most north,Wuzhishan City in Hainan Province in the most south,Wangqing County in Jilin Province in the most East and Aksu Area in Xinjiang in the most West.The paper included five chapters.Chapter 1 contained taxonomic history and current situation of studies abroad and domestically.Chapter 2 introduced material and methods.Chapter 3 was morphological characters and terms.Chapter 4 reviewed Chinese 17 genera and 70 species of Tetrastichinae including 17 new species:Aceratoneuromyia longipedicela sp.nov.,Mestocharella qingdaoensis sp.nov.,Neotrichoporoides basiflavus Li and Li,sp.nov.,Neotrichoporoides flavothorax Li and Li,sp.nov.,Neotrichoporoides maculialatus sp.nov.,Oomyzus flavotibialis Li and Li,sp.nov.,Oomyzus femoratus sp.nov.,Quadrastichus longipedicela sp.nov.,Quadrastichus longipennis sp.nov.,Quadrastichus abdominalis sp.nov.,Quadrastichus longisetus sp.nov.,Quadrastichus flavomaculatus sp.nov.,Tetrastichus fuscialatus sp.nov.,Aprostocetus longialatus sp.nov.,Aprostocetus yuanjiangensis sp.nov.,Aprostocetus clavatus sp.,Aprostocetus maculosus sp.nov.and 26 new record species and provided keys to Tetrastichinae and some genera.Morphological characters for all the genera and species were described in detail,together with complete citations,hosts,distributions and photos.Appendix provided 82 photos of adult females,a checklist of Tetrastichinae species in China,amount of Tetrastichinae species in each province and a distribution map of collection.Purpose of the present study was providing basic references in identification of Tetrastichinae species,enriching natural enemy resources and biodiversity of China,and biological contzrol on agricultural and forestry pests.All the specimens were deposited at the Insect Collections of Northeast Forestry University(NEFU).
