Objective: By establishing the rat models with heat stagnation and blood stasis syndrome and cold stagnation and blood stasis syndrome to simulate the similar pathological state of human, and observing the action characteristics of the Chinese medicinal herbs with neutral property to the above rat models on the index of overall Chinese medicine symptoms, microcirculation index, and hemorheology index, to prove the theoretical hypothesis, that the Chinese medicinal herbs with neutral property have the essential characteristic of two-way application and conditional appearance,and preliminary research it's internal mechanism.Methods: 1. Established the rat models with heat stagnation and blood stasis syndrome by injected the carrageenan and dry yeast, established the rat models with cold stagnation and blood stasis syndrome by the method of body freezing.2. 10 Chinese medicinal herbs with neutral property(cattail pollen, glabrous sarcandra herb, sappan wood, cortex albiziae, seed of cowherb, peach kernel, dragon's blood, radix cyathulae, folium ginkgo, rhizome of common burreed), 5 Chinese medicinal herbs with heat or hot property(safflower, cassia twig, sanchi, rhizome of chuanxiong ligusticum, angelica) and 5 Chinese medicinal herbs with cold or cool property(salvia miltiorrhiza, radix paeoniae rubra, motherwort, root and rhizome of sorrel rhubarb, root bark of the peony tree ) were selected to observe the action effect in the above two models. The overall Chinese medicine symptoms, microcirculation index, hemorheology index were observed. The action character of Chinese medicinal herbs with neutral property was evaluated by the analysis of variance and cluster analysis.3. Weka, a analysis software, and bayesian network, a method of data mining, were used to mine and analyze the pharmacodynamic data, and summarize the property characteristic of the Chinese medicinal herbs with neutral property. 4. In order to reveal the internal mechanism of the two-way application, 3 Chinese herbswith neutral property(cattail pollen, seed of cowherb, peach kernel), 1 Chinese herb with heat or hot property (rhizome of chuanxiong ligusticum)and 1 Chinese herb with cold or cool property(salvia miltiorrhiza) were selected to observe the action effect to cAMP-PKA signal pathway, NO-NOS system, Ca2+- CaM system in rat models with the heat stagnation and blood stasis syndrome and cold stagnation and blood stasis syndrome.Results: 1. Pharmacodynamics study on the essential characteristics of the Chinese medicinal herbs with neutral property in two-way application2.1 The following results were showed by the overall Chinese medicine symptoms:?In the heat stagnation and blood stasis syndrome, the rats temperatures in the group of Chinese medicinal herbs with neutral property and the group of Chinese medicinal herbs with cold or cool property were lower than the model group, and the rats temperatures in the group of Chinese medicinal herbs with heat property were higher than the model group. The Chinese Medicine with neutral property have two-way adjustment to cAMP-PKA signalling channel, which may be one of the mechanism of it's two-way application.
