Vocational education is the main way to train or cultivate high and middle-level technical talents in order to meet the needs of Thailand.The implementation of Chinese language in vocational education must meet the current requirement for social and personal development.Chinese teaching of Thai Vocational Colleges plays an important role in the country's economic development,but meanwhile there are few research findings on the Chinese teaching of Thai Vocational Colleges.Research shows that the effects of Chinese teaching in Thai vocational colleges are not as expected,and the students' knowledge and ability of Chinese language still need to be improved.The study mainly response three questions about Chinese language teaching in Thai vocational education:First,what is the present situation of Chinese language education in Thai vocational education and what are existing problems?Second,what kind of learning behavior do the Chinese language students in Thai vocational college possess and what factors influence them?Third,how to improve the effects of Chinese language teaching in Thai vocational education?The present situation,characteristics and problems of Chinese language teaching in the Thai vocational education are analyzed and summarized through literature review and questionnaires about the schools,teachers,students and Teaching,that includes Teaching policy,Chinese syllabus and curriculum and so on.Based on the Theories of Interactive Determinism,Learning Behavior Theory,Ecosystem Theory,Language Teaching Theory and Complex Dynamic System Theory,the questionnaire on Chinese learning behavior of Thai Vocational College students is designed.Through the questionnaire survey,the study found that:Firstly,the average number of Chinese learning behavior of Thai Vocational College students is 3.17,which indicates that the frequency of the overall situation of students' Chinese learning behavior tends to be"general"The average of the eight aspects of Chinese learning behavior ranges from 2.99 to 3.39.According to the frequency,they are attention,learning strategy,self-testing,information processing,time management,learning attitude,choice of main information and examination strategy.Secondly,through comparative analysis,it is found that age,gender,family economic level,regional disparity,major,grade,scores,with Chinese descent or not,and with Chinese learning experience or not,have significant impacts on students' learning behavior which includes "learning attitude","learning strategy","learning attention" "choice of main information","information processing","time management","self-testing",and "examination Strategies.Thirdly,through regression analysis,the study found that the variables that have significant predictive power on the validity of "Chinese Learning Behavior" are "Internal Motivation","External Motivation","Teaching Content,Textbooks and Examination Evaluation","Teacher","Teaching Environment","Visual Type","Tactile Type","Independent Type","Auditory Type" and "Experiential Type" according to the magnitude of explanatory variance.These 10 predictive variables can effectively explain 58.4%of the variance of Chinese Learning Behavior.Finally,the study summarized the basic situation of Thai vocational college students in terms of learning behavior and motivation of Chinese language,and in response to the students'degree of satisfaction in Chinese teaching,summarized the characteristics of Chinese learning behavior of Thai Vocational College students are put forwarded the corresponding suggestions,similarly provided references to the teachers for education and teaching profession.
