This study puts film into the communication context of media convergence and follows the research paradigm of "film as a medium" to investigate the changes of film media properties as well as numerous new film forms and "film" landscapes.The research mainly adopts the theories and methods of mass communication,media environment,media science and technology philosophy to organically integrate media research and film phenomenon research.The research points out that from the period of simulation technology to the period of media integration technology,the media properties of films are constantly generated,expanded,strengthened and changed.Films actively interact with and integrate with new media.Through the transformation of "re-media",they have become numerous new forms of films in their own media field,such as "variety film","topic film","crowd funding film","bullet screen film" ? "desktop film " and "IP film".They are obviously different from the production mode of traditional mainstream films,but they still follow the production mode of traditional films in general.They are developed and transformed on the basis of the production process of traditional films.At the same time,more importantly,the film in the process of interaction with the new media,its content,form,performance means and methods also spillover to the new media media field,created such as " DVD interactive movie","micro movie","short video","VR movie","database movie","open source movie" and "movie installation art" and so on the new "movie" landscape.These new media phenomena not only challenge the production mode of traditional films,but also bring the subversion and innovation of the whole production process of films.They are not in the media field of film,but in the media field of new media.They are the result of the "re-media" of new media(not film)as the media subject,so that we cannot make a reasonable definition of them with the traditional concept of film cognition.Traditional theoretical methods and research paradigms based on film ontology have been difficult to make appropriate interpretation and explanation,and have been difficult to have a clear guiding significance for the emerging film practice.Therefore,from the perspective of film media research,this study makes a systematic and overall study and reflection on these various new scenes of film,so as to reform the traditional cognition of film and point out the potential problems and future development trend of contemporary film.
