"Expression" is not only the external manifestation of subjective emotional experience,but also the most intuitive way to convey public feelings.It can convey not only "sour,sweet,bitter,spicy",but also "joy,anger,sorrow,joy" and "sadness,joy,separation and union".As a reflection of today's society,images have played a crucial role in the long history of China.In the modern society marked by speed and forgetfulness,documentary film has become an important carrier of mass expression and social memory with its interaction with social construction.The research on Chinese documentaries from the perspective of the relationship between image expression and the memory of The Times is not only a breakthrough in a new perspective,but also a significant attempt to heal the past and link the future with the change of expression.The changes of expression and the documentary images are mutually influencing and inseparable in the development of Chinese documentaries The progress of documentary images is to show the public's expressions to the maximum extent on the screen,from the traditional and rigid to the vivid and national expressions.In the process of its change,its mainstream discourse is gradually rewritten,and the expressions are more and more abundant under the influence of humanistic and documentary thoughts.Under the changing shell of these screen expressions,it is wrapped with the change of social environment,the development of film and television technology and the diversity of cultural strategies.Meanwhile,due to the tolerance of society,the development of technology and the diversity of culture,Chinese photo albums are becoming more and more natural and abundant.The changes of expression in Chinese documentaries can be reflected in the political,cultural and economic changes,aesthetic tendencies and individual differences of images.This paper combed the forty years(1979-2019)of the documentary development,based on the "expression" as a breakthrough point,the author in the following three aspects to analyze the image of Chinese documentary change,including the background of image changes,the image expression of the present history of the change,and aesthetic significance of the expression change of documentary.The main content of the three parts is: first,record the expression of the image,which carries the memory.Its constructiveness depends on the intervention and interaction between the photographer and the subject in the production process of the image.As a kind of media shooting object,with the development of the media,changes gradually occur,and the viewer is inspired by the combination of watching the image and his own experience,which together constitute the final state of recording the changes of the image expression.Secondly,the documentary constructs a picture of social expression,which consists of an abnormal externalized "public expression" and a personalized "private expression",and Outlines the changes of The Times.Thirdly,according to the aesthetics of the documentary at the present stage,the strong social and historical characteristics of the documentary will often overwhelm itself and take it as an attribute of image art.Therefore,aesthetic analysis is conducted on the expression elements of classic cases in different periods in documentaries,such as sound and color.From the perspective of documentary aesthetics,the cognition and exploration of these expression paths can be regarded as part of the exploration of documentary aesthetic paradigm.Therefore,from the perspective of memory,for the development of Chinese documentary,with documentary images and public expression,and the interaction between real image as weft,explore China's documentary in the collective to the individual image of the "expression" change,this is not only a new perspective,and in such interactive relationship under the changing process is more specific,so as to find the generating mechanism behind the documentary expression.The research on how to express the richness of expressions and how to use international communication to open up dimensions is broader,so as to expect a better future for documentaries.Meanwhile,it also means that the social memory carried by documentaries may have a greater coverage and influence.Recorded images show changes in the public's expression and retain memories.For the rapid change of Chinese society,documentary shows the sincerity and courage of the society with its true nature,leaving a memory archive for history to learn from,and highlighting the unique value of documentary images.
