As one of the leaders in the sixth-generation of directors, Jia Zhangke with keen interest to society and their social responsibility to show the audience a number of valuable works.Early works mainly for his homeland show, late convert to focus on the city’s general individual life, or is it to show that was or is happening now history alternating heaviness.His documentary aesthetic style contains a strong social meaning and cultural connotation, so that we turn a blind eye to the social problems found rethink.Jia Zhangke’s films depicts the urban civilization of the concerns of ordinary people,focusing attention on the survival of the people. His aesthetic style deeply influenced by Western documentary theory, coupled with the integration of traditional Chinese culture, Jia Zhangke successfully completed a documentary film aesthetics magnificent transformation.He constructed for the audience full of artistic and humanistic art film highly uniform and comply with the current status of Chinese society, uphold exploration of art, the "individual" and "spirit" perfectly together. In film creating, he has consistently adhered to the pursuit of aesthetics as well as its work successfully in the international market for Chinese art film has had an extraordinary inspiration.This paper is divided into four parts, the first part mainly elaborated on the documentary film An Introduction to aesthetics, the macro-history documentary aesthetics as well as a brief description of the basic theory of documentary aesthetics and aesthetics in documentary is divided into foreign and domestic development clue; the two parts mainly from documentary aesthetic pursuit of Jia Zhangke’s films feature aspects of analysis, discusses the main proceed from the movie narrative content, audio-visual language and narrative technique; the third part discusses the reasons for Jia Zhangke’s films documentary aesthetic style formation,mainly comprising Jia Zhangke creation of social background and his personal growth experience and theory of documentary on his documentary film director as well as to his; the fourth part is unique Jia Zhangke’s films under the documentary aesthetic context, the horizontal contrast with Jia Zhangke meanwhile the director of the documentary in terms of differences, which after adding modern elements to make him in stark contrast with other sixth-generation directors, as well as the contribution of Jia Zhangke’s films documentaryaesthetics, mainly from the artistic and nationality to analyze. The conclusion of the analysis is put forward some constructive opinions and my film some of his prospects for his film problems.
