| In this paper,we focus on the NP phrase structure which can be separated and combined on the subject position and object position.Firstly,we base on the theory of sentence transformation analysis,give a detailed description of the separated and combined syntactic transformation of the NP phrase structure on the subject position and object position and points out the advantages and disadvantages of sentence transformation analysis.Then we will introduce the theory of cognitive construction grammar to analyze the construction meaning of four constructions,such as,combined subject-position NP phrases construction,separated subject-position NP phrase construction,,combined object-position NP phrase construction,separated object-position NP construction,and reveal the pragmatic factors leading to the transformation of the construction.At the same time,we point out the variation of pragmatic function before and after transformation.There are many ways to transform Chinese sentence patterns,such as the substitution of core verbs,the looming of contextual information,the shift of sentence components,etc.The separated and combined situation of the NP phrases structure explored in this paper is also a way of sentence transformation caused by pragmatic drive.For the separated and combined NP phrases on the subject position,the NP separation is the prototype construction.The NP combination is the transformation construction.From the prototype construction to the transformation construction,the transformation of the NP is from separation to combination.For the separated and combined NP phrases on the object position,the NP combination is the prototype construction and the NP separation form is the transformation construction.From the prototype construction to the transformation construction,the transformation of the NP is from the combination to the separation.There are some commonalities between the NP structure of the subject and the object NP structure,which are separable and combinable,but they are completely different in syntax,semantics and pragmatics.At present,there are a lot of articles on the analysis of these two constructions,but the two constructions are not completely clarified.This article tries to carry out a comprehensive description of the two sentence patterns,and then makes a more thorough explanation of the constructional and pragmatic functions.This paper involves an important proposition,namely,the difference between objectivity and subjectivity of natural language expression,which is the focus of study.The combination of subject and object NP phrase belongs to objective statement and conveys an objective information through natural language.The separation of subject and object NP phrases belongs to subjective expression.The subjective emotion of the speaker is transferred by natural language,and the construction transformation of the subject-position NP phrase and the object-position NP phrase reflects the difference between the objectivity and subjectivity of the natural language expression.This paper is divided into seven chapters,Chapter 1 is the introduction part.Chapter2 uses the theory of sentence transformation analysis to describe the separation and combination of the subject-position NP phrases and related sentence transformation.Chapter 3 uses the theory of sentence transformation analysis to describe the separation and combination of the object-position NP phrases and related sentence transformation.Chapter 4 combines with the previous two chapters,discusses the advantages of the study of transformation in the analysis of relevant linguistic phenomena,and points out its disadvantages,such as the inability to reveal the meaning of construction and the inability to analyze pragmatic functions of formalism.Chapter 5 uses the theory of cognitive grammatical theories to analyze the meaning of the construction.Chapter 6reveals the variation of pragmatic functions before and after transformation from the perspective of construction.Chapter 7 summarizes this study and makes further prospects for further studies.Chapter 1: Introduction Part.This part mainly expounds the research object,the significance of the topic and the current research situation at home and abroad,briefly introduces the main theoretical background of this paper and combines some typical research results as paradigm examples.Chapter 2: the Separation and Combination of the Subject-position NP and Related Sentence Transformation.This chapter describes the syntactic attributes of the Separation and Combination of the Subject-position NP and their combinations using the theory of sentence transformation.It analyzes the features of verbs from syntactic,semantic and pragmatic perspectives.Based on the semantic relationship between NP1 and NP2,this paper analyzes the semantic relationship of thematic NP,and points out the influence of NP on syntactic structure.Demonstration and derivation of sentence transformation theory and the definition of the prototype construction and the transformation construction are connected with the idea about production of the separation and combination of the subject-position NP in the academic field.Chapter 3: the Separation and Combination of the Object-position NP and Related Sentence Transformation.This chapter mainly uses the theory of sentence transformation to describe the syntactic attributes of the Separation and Combination of the Subject-position NP and its combination,such as the semantic characteristics of NP1/ NP2 and the generalized relationship between NP1 and NP2.The syntactic and semantic features of verbs,the hidden conditions of the word "of" and so on are fully described.In combination with the demonstration and derivation of the NP dissociation transformation of object position,the prototype features of NP combination of object position and the transformation feature of object-position NP separation form are defined.The condition,mode and reason of object-position NP transformation are analyzed and explained.Chapter 4: the Advantages and Disadvantages of the Analysis of Sentence Pattern Transformation.On the basis of transformation analysis,this chapter sums up the commonness and personality characteristics of the object-position NP transformation and the subject-position NP transformation.It is more important to point out the limitations of transformation analysis by discussing the effect of transformation research on the analysis of related language phenomena.Chapter 5: The Construction Meaning of Separation and Combination of NP on subject and object position.This part uses cognitive construction grammar theory to explain the construction meaning of the separated construction of subject-position NP,the combined construction of subject-position NP,the separated construction of object-position NP,the separated construction of object-position NP.Chapter 6:The Pragmatic Functions of Separation and Combination of NP on subject and object position.This part uses the cognitive construction grammar theory to explain the pragmatic functions of the separated construction of subject-position NP,the combined construction of subject-position NP,the separated construction of object-position NP,the separated construction of object-position NP..Chapter 7: Conclusion and Prospect.This part summarizes the construction transformation and pragmatic functional variation of NP phrases in modern Chinese and looks forward to the future work direction. |
