Modern Chinese DOC is one of the most popular sentences in Chinese, which isalso concerned by linguistics at home and abroad. However, the sentencecharacteristics, especially for the definition, scope and classification of modernChinese DOC are the most controversial issue in the Chinese ontology. We find that inthe process of foreign students’ acquisition in modern Chinese DOC, they tend tomake different errors. It’s obvious that Chinese DOC has many problems in theprocess of acquisition and teaching. To solve this problem, it’s absolutely not enoughonly with the sense of language, but also depend on the researchers’ exploration onabout the problems. From “analysis of modern Chinese meticulous deconstruction” to“description and analysis of foreigners’ interlanguage”, these two aspects areindispensable. We can find the real problems only in the contrast of these two aspects, and only when we find “the cause of this disease”, we could explain it, furthermorecan we use appropriate methods to solve it. So we choose this issue aims at doing adeep research of the foreign students’ acquisition of Chinese DOC.This thesis contains ontological research and empirical study and classifies theChinese DOC by construction theory. It also analyzes the cognitive level of differentcategories in Chinese DOC. In addition, a questionnaire related to the grammar andsemantic characteristics of Chinese DOC has been designed to test the students’acquisition of DOC. The questionnaire contains four parts: acceptability judgment, sentence making, multiple choices and error correcting. In order to get a betterunderstanding of foreign students’ acquisition of Chinese DOC,120participants havebeen invited to answer the questionnaire, who are learning Chinese language in Chinaor their native countries. They come from different countries, while the majority ofthese participants come from Korean and Japan. For this reason, most of the examplesare selected in the analysis in the following about the error types are Korean andJapanese students’. Besides that, there are also some data errors are selected from theHSK dynamic corpus, which is developed by Institute of Information Processing inBeiJing Language and Culture University.66error sentences are selected from the corpus. After describing and analyzing the data errors, several tables are made toshow the error categories and proportion clearly. According to the data errors, severalerror types are concluded, which are missing, mis-adding, misuse and mis-ordering.The theory foundations are based on the Cognitive Theory, the Acquisition of SecondLanguage Learning Theory, Inter-language theory, Error Analysis Theory. Thesetheories are applied to analyze the reasons of the error data comprehensively. At last, some teaching advice is put forward on Chinese DOC for teaching Chinese as asecond language, including textbook complication, exercise design and classroomteaching. A new attempt is made to combine the Cognitive Theory with teachingChinese as a Foreign Language and makes contribution to teachers to prevent andcorrect the mistakes made by foreign students during their Chinese studies.
