China Academy of fine arts is the highland of creation and teaching of modern freehand flower and bird painting.Mr.Pan Tianshou,Wu Fuzhi and Zhu Lesan are homologous to the "Wu School" art.They influence each other,develop each other and form different artistic features.They are known as the "three elders" of flower and bird painting of China Academy of fine arts.As a Chinese painting art creator and aesthetic educator,Mr.Zhu Lesan melts poetry,calligraphy and painting into one furnace.On the basis of "Wu School" painting,combined with teaching and creation,he borrows the past to open the present,pays attention to life,and integrates the poetic and literary spirit of literati painting into contemporary freehand flower and bird painting,which has a strong flavor of the times and interest in life.This paper is a case study.Starting from the dual identity of Mr.Zhu Lesan as a painter and educator,this paper discusses the artistic style characteristics and artistic thought formed by Mr.Zhu Lesan's continuous exploration in creation and teaching.In his early years,Mr.Zhu Lesan was personally taught by Wu Changshuo in Shanghai.He inherited the "Wu School" art comprehensively and deeply.He is not only the inheritor of the "Wu School" art,but also one of the important founders of contemporary Chinese painting teaching.His works are simple,concise and rigorous.In more than 60 years of teaching,changing the casual appearance of freehand flower and bird painting and finding a balance between the spirit of "grid things" in teaching and the interest of "self entertainment" of literati are the stepping stones to the study of freehand flower and bird painting.This also reflects that the special environment of China Academy of fine arts is irreplaceable for the nourishment of Chinese painting creation,especially freehand painting.By combing the track of Mr.Zhu Lesan's artistic activities,this paper studies the relationship between Zhu Lesan's artistic infiltration by his family,teachers and fellow friends and Zhu Lesan's artistic education and creative integration.Mr.Zhu Lesan's flower and bird paintings have an indifferent and naive literati character,and strive to win in peace.At the same time,in his teaching for more than 60 years,he combined the sketch modeling concept of "writing spirit with shape" with teaching practice,and extended the artistic expression of literati painting on the basis of predecessors.The decline of contemporary freehand flower and bird painting has faced many insurmountable problems.For example,1.The creative concept of flower and bird painting is not clear enough;2.The understanding and inheritance of predecessors' excellent Chinese painting art are not deeply rooted.Through the study of zhulesan flower and bird painting,it is of great guiding significance for the study and creative practice of profound contemporary freehand flower and bird painting.
