Piao Zongshan(???1759-1819),styled Jizhi(??),also known as Lingyang(??)and Hanliao(??),was a poet of the late Joseon Dynasty. His father,Piao Mingyuan(???),had married Heping Wongju(????)and was loved by King Yeongjo(??)as a son-in-law.Nevertheless,due to the limitation of his status,Piao Zongshan, who was born from a concubine, was unable to display his talents. He spent his life in the last post of a micro official and made no achievements in his official career.Piao had a clear understanding of his identity when he was young,so he decided to achieve his self-worth through literary creation. He wrote poetry all his life and kept a collection——Lingyang Shiji(????),which included nearly 2000 Chinese poems he wrote in the 45 years between the ages of 13and 58.In preface to Lingyang Shiji,Piao Zhiyuan(???)gave a high evaluation of his poetry creation:"My nephew Zongshan is a master, who is good at poetry and not tied up in one method."This dissertation takes Piao Zongshan's Chinese poems as the research object, combines the history, cultural background and Piao Zongshan's personal experience in the later Period of Joseon, and makes a systematic and comprehensive study of the theme connotation, theme characteristics, creation methods and artistic style of his Chinese poems. The dissertation is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly expounds the research object, research significance and basic research ideas of this paper, and investigates the current research status of Piao Zongshan and his poems in China and South Korea. The second chapter discusses the background of the formation of Piao Zongshan's artistic world of Chinese poetry.Piao Zongshan was ruled by king Yeongjo(??),King Jeongjo, and King Sunjo(??).After the war,the Joseon society ushered in a period of political stability, economic development, open thought and cultural prosperity, which also provided favorable external conditions for the development of literature.During this period,Shunie(??)literati group was able to rise and grow, and the common Shunie literati represented by Li Demao(???),Piao Qijia(???)and Liu Degong(???)actively participated in the creation of Chinese poetry, which set off a wind of innovation in the late Joseon poetry circle.Piao was closely associated with these three people and was greatly influenced by them in literature. The third chapter, based on the text, analyzes the emotional connotation of Piao Zongshan's Chinese poems under the poetics viewpoint of"poem origins from affection(???)"and"poetic expression of aspiration(???)".First of all,Piao Zongshan's Chinese poems reflect his tragic consciousness as a class of Shunie. In his poems,he expounded his understanding of the identity of Shunie and expressed his desire for equality. He complained of the pain caused by the contradiction between ideal and reality, and also expressed his fear of disease and death.Piao Zongshan is a sad figure, but he is not pessimistic. In his poems,he sings about his love for landscape and countryside, expresses his plain, natural and detached state of mind, and praises his sincere friendship with Chinese literati, which is his way and expression to transcend the tragedy of identity and realize self-settlement.In his poems,Piao Zongshan also expressed his remembrance of his relatives and friends, and expressed his concern for the people at the bottom, which reflected the influence of ethics and benevolence in Confucian thoughts on him.The fourth chapter focuses on the innovation of Piao Zongshan's Chineise poems in the range of traditional themes.Generally speaking, the theme of Piao Zongshan's Chinese poetry did not break away from the traditional range, but he was able to inherit the tradition and find a new way, which is mainly reflected in his creation of Yongwu poems(???),Jixing poems(???)and Fengsu poems(???).To some extent,Piao Zongshan inherited the tradition of"bixing sustenance"in his poems about things, but he tended to give new cultural connotations to some fixed symbolic images.Piao Zongshan's expansion of the traditional theme of Jixing poems is embodied in The Book Jingang Bailun(?????).The non-utilitarian motive, the form of combining poetry and text, the style of textual research and the close attitude to Buddhism make The Jingang Bailun show the characteristics different from the previous generations of mount Jingang Jixing poems.Piao Zongsun's Fengsu poems are the most characteristic in Jingdu Suishi(?????),which describes the palace customs and folk customs of various festivals or solar terms in Hanyang(??)city in the form of a series of poems.Through the change of artistic conception and the transformation of space,it is rich in the beauty of change and balance. In terms of content,Piao describes the cheerful and positive spirit of the Hanyang people, which is in sharp contrast to the folk poems of the same period, which show the miserable life of the people at the bottom. The fifth chapter focuses on the creation method and artistic style of Piao Zongshan's Chinese poetry.Piao Zongshan's Chinese poetry mainly adopts the"learning"creation method of"learning poems",which is embodied in"allusion into poems(????)","discussion into poems(????)"and"words as poems(?????)".In addition,Piao is also good at using traditional Chinese poetic genres flexibly to show different contents. He followed the realistic spirit of Yuefu(??)poetry and wrote the living status of Joseon women in Yuefu style. He inherited the characteristics of Zhuzhi Ci(???)chanting local conditions and presented the Joseon"romantic"with Zhuzhi Ci;He also tried to rewrite the seasonal tone of Korean literature with the short and concise poetic form of Jueju(??),thus breaking the boundary between Korean literature and Chinese literature,"vulgar"literature and"elegant"literature. In terms of artistic style,Piao Zongshan's Chinese poems show the characteristics of eccentric and adventurous. He uses narrow and narrow rhymes to increase the effect of"strangeness(??)"and"danger(??)"in his poems, and realizes the purpose of"seeking novelty"through unusual language, unusual images and strange ideas. In addition,Park's Chinese poems also show the artistic characteristics of"Joseon style(???)",which is mainly realized by selecting themes with national characteristics and reflecting the internal emotions of the Joseon people.
