The Tudor period was a key stage of many changes, from the reconstruction of social order to the evolution of authority patterns, all of which reflected the violent social turbulence at that time.In the Tudor period, the English school music education, which inherits the Medieval Roman Christian tradition, ushered in a rare development opportunity in Tudor period, and its educational objectives, contents, forms and methods all underwent essential changes. As an important part of the English educational sequence,it plays an important role in the rule of power, religious worship and social life. Its functional humanization has also become an indispensable way to cultivate political elites, interpret church doctrines and promote social understanding. The school music education in Tudor England not only survived in the decayed atmosphere of the church at the end of the Middle Ages, but also continued to move forward under the guidance of the new dynasty. In addition to the conflict between church and secular power throughout its development process, the fundamental changes in economic form, social culture and ideology also jointly promoted the development of music education in Tudor schools and determined the basic form of its evolution. The study takes the main types of schools existing in Tudor Dynasty in England from the end of 15 th century to the beginning of 17 th century as the research object, and placed the research on school music education in a crisscrossing and layered three-dimensional analysis framework.Vertically, taking the thread of the development of music education in English schools as the elementary clue, the ancient Greek origin of school music education, the beginning of English school music education in the early Middle Ages and the changes in the late Middle Ages are regarded as the historical accumulations of English school music education.Horizontally, the ruling stage of each monarch is generally taken as the basis for the study of time and space division, and the typical development, different forms, causes and influences of school music education in different stages of Tudor dynasty are summarized, analyzed and compared successively. The study analyzed the process and results of school music education, and dividing the evolution of school music education in Tudor England into three main stages. The first is the restoration in early Tudor. The establishment of the Tudor Dynasty not only constructed a new ruling pattern, but also injected a fresh atmosphere of The Times into the school music education. The old mode of school music education dominated by religion was obviously no longer suitable for the actual needs with the development of dynasty, nor did it conform to the long-term interests of King’s rule.At the same time, under the multiple influence of the Renaissance,Humanism and Reformation, all aspects of school music education began to emphasize the defense of humanity. Therefore,if school music education was to match the dynastic development,it had to clear up the deep-rooted problems of the church. The dissolution of monasteries was an important symbol of the evolution of school music education in the early Tudor dynasty.Secondly,it is the reconstruction stage of middle Tudor Period. The succession of Edward VI promoted the process of reformation in England and the continuing debate over doctrine was finally settled, culminating in the defeat of the Roman Catholic Church. The monarch took full control of the dual power of ruling the church and the world as the supreme and sole ruler, and made a more complete break with the Roman church from the doctrinal level more thoroughly disintegrated the Roman Church in the foundation of ideology.Since then, the pattern of school music education has changed dramatically, with the ever-decreasing number of music courses in schools after the dissolution of the monastery becoming almost invisible. Most of the secondary schools no longer undertakes the task of elementary music teaching, music lessons were offered limitedly only in a small number of charitable or secular merchant schools,or by private music teachers,as well as in the family education. To a certain extent,it has stimulated the change of the position of music teachers, the progress of music teaching materials and the development of music educational research in the universities. Finally,is the overall gradual change to the Elizabethan period was a true independent development after the ownership of the monarchy was clarified. It is based on the vigorous music culture, the unique music political ecology and the humanistic music education values, the rapid development of university music education in this period also made active exploration in the construction of music degree, and formed the rudiment of modern music education institutionalization. All of these factors influenced the evolution of school music education in Tudor period of England, and constructed its unique evolution track and characteristics of the time.In the critical period of social transformation and ideological excitement, the basic theory and practice of school music education gradually took shape which became an excellent model for the development of school music education afterward, and provided valuable historical experience in the process of reform of modern school music education.
