Research On The History Of Proletarian Values Education During The New Democratic Revolution

Values education is a significant task to which the Communist Party of China has always attached great importance.It is an important approach and method to rally the strength of the whole party and the masses to realize the party's value goals or fundamental tasks in a certain historical period,and to strive for the highest goal of the party.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Xi Jinping has proposed to explore and carry forward the glorious tradition and red genes of our Party from the extraordinary history that the Party led the people in the process of revolution,construction and reform,taking them as the source and foundation for cultivating and promoting the socialist core values.To some extent,the history of the Communist Party of China uniting and leading the Chinese people to carry out revolution is a history of launching proletarian values education.In the different periods of the new-democratic revolution,the education of proletarian values carried out by our party has played an irreplaceable role in realizing the party's historical tasks and value goals.With the help of the education of proletarian revolutionary values,all Party members,revolutionary army and the broad masses of the people have a clear understanding of our party's fundamental value stand of serving the people wholeheartedly and seeking benefits for the people,and the fundamental value goals of seeking happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the nation and seeking liberation for mankind,thus making the revolutionary force grow from small to large and from weak to strong,finally overthrowing “The Three Mountains”,winning the victory of the new-democratic revolution,and establishing a new China where the people are the masters of the country.An in-depth probe into the history of education on proletarian values during the New Democratic Revolution,a scientific review and summary of the goals,contents and characteristics of the Party's education on proletarian values in various historical stages and a holistic understanding and summary of the laws and basic lessons of education on proletarian values undoubtedly provide important inspiration and reference for the development of education on values in the new era.The education of proletarian values by the Communist Party of China in the period of the new democratic revolution is inextricably linked to the nature and conditions of modern Chinese society,and is an inevitable requirement for the party to lead the people's revolution.To realize the fundamental objective of saving the country and the people,Chinese progressive intellectuals carried out arduous explorations.Under the influence of the October Revolution,they accepted and spread Marxism and realized that only by forming the Communist Party and carrying out the proletarian revolution can the objective be achieved.In July 1921,the Chinese Communist Party came into being.During the party's founding,the education of proletarian values carried out by our party was mainly realized in the process of spreading Marxism,targeting mainly at intellectuals,young students,and workers.Through the education of proletarian values,group after group of progressive intellectuals gathered under the banner of Marxism.As a result,the Chinese working class bursted out of unprecedented power and formed the first climax of the Chinese labor movement,which greatly shocked imperialism and feudal forces.The Chinese revolution had since undergone fundamental changes.During the period of the National Revolution,the Communist Party of China(the CPC hereinafter)carried out actively values education toward the proletarian,publicized the national revolution objective to oppose imperialism and feudal warlords,inspired the morale of the revolution,and gathered the revolutionary forces through various ways and means.Even when developing political cooperation with the Kuomintang government led by Sun Yat-sen so as to achieve the goals of the democratic revolution,the CPC still developed value education aimed at the proletarian,having the vast number of Party members and cadres always adhere to the proletarian position firmly and establish proletarian consciousness solidly.Meanwhile,the CPC carried out an education in revolutionary spirit and values aimed at the masses of workers and peasants,promoting the cohesion of revolutionary forces and the development of the revolutionary struggle.In the process of the Agrarian Revolution and the Armed resistance against the Kuomintang reactionaries,the CPC greatly stimulated the revolutionary enthusiasm of Party members and cadres,red Army officers and soldiers,and the masses of workers and peasants,and established rural revolutionary bases,and promoted the construction of the Soviet regime of workers and peasants through the indoctrination of revolutionary triumphalism,value education of fighting against bookishness and advocating the spirit of arduous struggle.It was just due to the publicity of proletarian revolutionary values and the revolutionary spirit of hard struggle,the Party and the Red Army were encouraged to overcome the enemy's encirclement,pursuit,obstruction and interception,to complete the human miracle of walked 25,000 Chinese miles in the Long March,and to open up a new situation of the Chinese revolution amid extreme hardship.The aggression of the Japanese imperialism made the national contradiction between China and Japan the primary contradiction in Chinese society.To achieve the fundamental objective to resist Japan,save the country,and liberate the nation,the CPC carried out value education centered on patriotism widely,actively advocated and promoted the development of the national united front against Japanese aggression based on the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the CPC,becoming the mainstay in the Chinese anti-Japanese War.Inspired by the resolute practical armed resistance of the CPC,as well as the national spirit education with patriotism as the core,Chinese people achieved a brilliant victory against aggression in the modern history of China through bloody battles.During the War of Liberation,the CPC actively carried out proletarian values education with establishing a new democratic China as the goal,making the Party and the people's army strengthen the position to rely on the people in the people's war of liberation,greatly inspiring and stimulating the revolutionary spirit to carry on the revolution to the end.Eventually,we achieved a great victory in the New Democratic Revolution.On the eve of winning the victory,our Party and Mao Zedong proposed promptly that the whole Party should remain modest and prudent,not arrogant and impetuous,continued to carry out value education aimed at the proletarian by educating them to maintain the revolutionary spirit of hard struggle,which laid a solid foundation of values for the CPC to remain true to the original aspiration and keep the mission firmly in mind,and to bear in mind the fundamental purpose of serving the people.In a sense,the victory of the new democratic revolution is the victory our party achieved through the education of proletarian values.The education of proletarian values is one of the fundamental conditions for the victory of the new democratic revolution.During the period of the New Democratic Revolution,the value education carried out by the CPC accumulated valuable and time-honored experiences which provided rich content for the education on core values of Marxism and socialism in the new era,and provided important foundation,content as well as enlightenment for our party to carry out the education of not forgetting its original aspirations and keeping in mind its mission.This is prominently reflected in the series of important expositions by General Secretary Xi Jinping on deepening the education of Communist values and socialist core values.
