This research combs the researcher's own experience in solving geometry problems by using specialization strategies and coaching junior high school mathematics gifted students to solve geometry problems by using specialization strategies,reads a lot of literature on solving geometry problems by using specialization strategies,and carries out questionnaires,interviews and tests on coaches of mathematics competitions by using specialization strategies to solve geometry problems,which further deepens the researcher's understanding of solving geometry problems by specialization strategies.Two research questions are put forward on these basises:First question is “ What is the current situation of the way and degree of the junior high school mathematics gifted students using the specialization strategy to solve geometry problems?”Second question is “ What changes have been made in the way and degree of using special strategies to solve geometry problems for junior high school mathematics gifted students after teaching intervention?”In order to better implement the pre-test,the pre-pre-test was carried out before the pre-test,mainly to find some problems,so as to better design the pre-test paper.In order to better intervene in teaching,the researcher,on the basis of sorting out his own material of solving geometry problems with specialization strategies,compiles the table of solving geometry problems with specialization strategies,and further accumulates more material of solving geometry problems with specialization strategies through reading a large number of problem-solving books,finally forms the intervention course of solving geometry problems with special strategies.At the same time of compiling the course,drawing lessons from the answers of the pre-pre-test,and constantly consulting the experts of the mathematics competition,the pre-test paper is finally formed.After compiling the course,the post-test paper's compilation is begun.Because the post-test is nearly one year later than the pre-test,and because the ivdevelopment of the mathematics gifted students is rapid,the post-test paper is more difficult than the pre-test paper.Through pre-test and questionnaires to find out the current situation of junior high school mathematics gifted students using specialization strategies to solve geometry problems,and then design a series of lectures on specialization strategies to solve geometry problems,through nearly a year of teaching intervention,and finally implement post-test to see the progress of mathematics gifted students.Initially,junior high school mathematics gifted students were able to use specialization strategies to help them quickly solve the filling-in questions when they did not know how to start or they predict that the normal solution would take a lot of time."normalization" was mainly used and "extremization" was rarely used;only "incomplete specialization" was used to solve geometry problems,but there was no "complete specialization" consciousness at present,after nearly a year of teaching intervention,mathematics gifted students' ability to solve geometry problems by using specialization strategy has greatly improved,which is embodied in their ability to better use "extremization" to help fill in the blanks and quickly get the answers to the questions,and to better use "complete specialization" to solve difficult geometry problems.There are a few extremely excellent students who can solve geometric problems of little difficulty without using specialization strategy,so researcher later designed a postponement test.The postponement test is a test including some very difficult geometric problems that can be solved by using specialization strategy.It has been proved that these extremely talented students will also resort to specialization strategy when they are confronted with difficult problems without method.Specialization strategies are used very well,which is result of teaching intervention.Even if they do not use specialization strategies,sometimes they can consciously interpret them as specialization strategies,which shows that they have a deep understanding of specialization strategies.This research provides rich materials for middle school teachers to solve geometry problems with specialization strategies,such as problem-solving tables,course and solutions,which can be used by middle school teachers for learning.It is conducive to improving their level of geometry problem-solving and cultivating their strong interest in solving geometry problems.This research has rich material with specialization strategies to solve geometry problem,it has a great role for middle school mathematics gifted students to learn geometry and improve their level of geometry problem solving.
