Street pedicure is a traditional old trade with a long history.Under the background of modernization and market transformation,on the one hand,mechanical flow production is gradually replacing manual work,and those craftsmen and professionals who are involved in people's life emotion are gradually fading out of people's sight,becoming the collective spirit and emotional memory that is hard to recover;on the other hand,the stall economy is a job The important source is human fireworks,which is the basis for the survival of the bottom groups in the city,and also provides cheap,convenient and fast daily life services for urban people.Finally,with the rise of health care trend in modern society,pedicure has become an indispensable health care project in people's daily life,which not only brings development opportunities for street foot repair,but also the rise of foot repair shops It also compresses the living space of street pedicure.Street pedicure is bred in the special natural environment and social atmosphere.It is deeply embedded in the local social structure and cultural tradition.It is a text to understand the local culture.Today,street pedicure still exists in the streets of modern cities.Street pedicure workers are a typical social bottom occupation group.They do not have the advantages of age,physical strength,gender and other physiological conditions.They have insufficient social resources and weak social support network,so they can only “make a living” with pedicure.Street pedicure workers with low prices,to meet the city's hard to make a living at the bottom of the need for foot repair.Under the background of economic marketization,they have gained the autonomy of management to a certain extent,and have broken away from the shackles of traditional social identity and the exploitation of industries.However,they still carry the bottom professional label,and are facing the impact and extrusion of social discrimination and modern professional pedicure shops,and their survival is facing a crisis.On the one hand,they are engaged in humble footwork,on the other hand,they live at the bottom of society,and their own ability and social support network are weak.They fight against fate and struggle for livelihood.According to their own physical characteristics and professional practice,based on their own field,they breed and develop unique survival strategies and behavior habits.By using the methods of snowballing interview and experiential observation,this study conducted a field study on 56 street menders and 20 foot repair shops.The question we want to discuss is: How to create knowledge and perceive the world around,and how to construct reality and self-consciousness.The specific contents include:what is the street life and working process of street menders? Why do street menders who live at the bottom of society have higher self-identity? How do they construct self-identity and engage in indecent Street pedicure for a long time? What is the reproduction of social value behind higher self-identity? How does the self-identity of the bottom groups relate to their social emotions and grassroots social management.Street menders run their own businesses and lead an individual life of “working at sunrise and resting at dusk”.The reconstruction of self-identity lacks the support and help of the collective or the group.They are self-employed,evade the discipline of modern enterprise system,and carry out independent labor production.In the humble nature of occupation and the survival situation at the bottom,self-identity can be constructed through safe and reliable income,free working hours,reference and comparison of peer groups.In addition,the self-identity of street menders contains a wealth of social value reproduction.First of all,the streets and lanes are a specific field,which gathers a large number of vendors and pedestrians,providing an effective place for the elderly street foot repair workers to re socialize;secondly,the pressure of family development urges Street foot repair workers to give full play to the waste heat in family construction,continue to contribute to family construction,and through the income of foot repair,they can accumulate their own Pension Reserves and realize the goal Finally,the outstanding performance of women's dependence on men and family in the bottom society is that it is difficult for them to be independent economically.The professional income of street menders is of great significance and value.It can not only realize the economic independence in a short period of time,but also reduce the burden of children's support.The research on street life and self-identity construction of street menders aims to present their survival strategies as the bottom professional group of society,and to investigate the self-identity construction and social emotions of street foot repair workers under the impact of modernity.Taking the social problems caused by social transformation into consideration from the perspective of social emotions of the bottom professional groups,this paper demonstrates the survival situation,survival strategies and social mentality of the bottom professional groups from the perspective of modernity,so as to trigger and cultivate the social humanistic care for the bottom professional groups.This is to study the survival logic and social mentality of the bottom professional groups such as street foot repair workers The ultimate academic concern.
