| Since the reform and opening up,the teaching methods of ideological and political theory have been improved and developed with the implementation of the new curriculum plan.As one of the important teaching methods for ideological and political theory course in colleges and universities,case teaching method is an effective teaching method based on the teaching rule of ideological and political theory courses,and it adheres to the idea of subjectivity education and follows the standard of case teaching.Since its introduction into the ideological and political theory course in the1990 s,case teaching method has got more and more attention.On February 7,2005,the Publicity Department,CCCPC,and the ministry of education issued a document——the Opinions on Further Strengthening and Improving Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Colleges and Universities,which clearly required that teaching activities should be carefully designed and organized,and various teaching methods such as thematic teaching and case teaching should be further explored.Domestic exploration of case teaching method in ideological and political theory courses can be mainly divided into two aspects: practical application and theoretical research.In terms of practical application,case teaching method can stimulate students’ interest in learning,promote the communication between teachers and students and improve students’ ability to analyze and solve problems with ideological and political theories,thus achieve a good practical effect.However,due to the limitation of its own constraints and its incomplete application and supporting system,the effectiveness of case teaching method has been questioned by some teachers,and the scope of promotion and application is relatively limited.In terms of theoretical research,the number of domestic studies on the case teaching method ranks first in those papers on the specific teaching methods of ideological and political theory courses.The research content covers the meaning,connotation,principles,steps and some other aspects of case teaching,but there exist some deficiencies such as unsystematic and incomplete research on the basic theory,and the simplicity of research methods etc.To counter the problems above,it is necessary to do some further reality-oriented research on the construction of case teaching mode in ideological and political theory courses.This is an exploration on the basic theory of teaching,which may deepen our understanding on the educational idea and the class structure of ideological and political theory course,help to clarify its good practical effect,promote the construction of supporting system of case teaching,and to promote the transformation of the teaching paradigm in ideological and political theory class.This study examines the practical dilemma of case teaching method in ideological and political theory courses,reflects on the limitations of case teaching method as a reference,takes the nature of ideological and political theory courses and teaching norms as the basis,and investigate the traits of case teaching method.The key point of this study is to clarify the relevance between case teaching paradigm and ideological and political theory course,to strengthen the overall understanding and grasp of the characteristics of the case teaching method,and to explore the relationship between the theoretical construction and practical promotion of case teaching method.This study is based on the methodology of Marxist Epistemology,and follows the steps as "clarifying the structure of elements--explaining the generation and application--studying and judging the logical idea--dialysis motivation strategy--constructing the supporting system".In this study,the writer applies some reserch methods,such as comparative study,interdisciplinary research,the methods of literature analysis,factor analysis etc.Closely linking to the qualities of case teaching and the subjectivity education idea,the writer gives a systematic and comprehensive study on the elements and structure of case teaching method,generative logic,teaching principles,dynamic system and operational strategies of ideological and political theory courses.Based on the existing studies,this study conducts a more detailed and in-depth analysis as follows:(1)the suitability of the case teaching method of ideological and political theory course and the teaching of ideological and political theory course in colleges and universities.This is reflected in the suitability of case teaching method and the teaching purpose,requirements,content and teaching process of ideological and political theory course.It is also relevant to the thinking patterns,psychological needs and ideological characteristics of college students in ideological and political theory course learning,as well as the function requirements and quality requirements for teachers.(2)the generative logic of case teaching method of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities.The generative logic reflects the distinct characteristics of case teaching,namely,pertinence,ideology,educationa purpose,and the lead function for value judgment and major principles.(3)the operation of case teaching method.It is the process of the interaction between external motivation and internal motivation.The operation of case teaching method is completed according to the basic steps of compiling case — reading case — discussing case — summarizing case,and it follows the following six basic procedures of teacher’s pre-class preparation--students’ individual learning — group learning —group learning — testing and diagnosis — summarizing and reflecting.There are three operational strategies: situational—experiencing strategy,process—interacting strategy and meaning —constructing strategy.According to certain principles and application principles,the application can be realized through the corresponding modes or approaches.The new viewpoints obtained in this study are as follows:(1)the case teaching method of ideological and political theory course is composed of six elements,which are interrelated,influenced and interacting with each other.These elements act in four different structural modes in different stages,includes passing-receiving,leading-communicating,expounding,sharing-reflecting and internalizing.(2)the teaching idea embodied in the case teaching method of ideological and political theory course is to highlight the meaning construction under the main body.The concrete manifestation is its teaching goal,which is to promote the student individuality and their comprehensive development.The teaching process is an open cooperative dialogue combining cognition,practice and development.The view of teachers and students holds that we should respect teachers and learning,and teachers and students are equal dialogue partners.The teaching evaluation view is based on the process,and focuses on the combination of formative evaluation and summative evaluation.It takes the integration and symbiosis under the premise of pluralism and boundedness as teaching principle,which includes the principle of combining content principles with the living world,the principle of unifying teacher-led and student inquiry,and the principle of symbiosis between curriculum knowledge and the meaning world.(3)the consturction of the supporting system of the case teaching method should be promoted from system,resources and technology,team and other aspects.As the Institute of Teaching puts it: "the teaching method,is not only a kind of specific strategies and techniques,it should also include a logical theory viewpoint,namely on the notion of what students should learn and how to learn,including the teacher-student behavior that these theories or ideas promote and other classroom structures that lead to different types of learning behavior." The study on case teaching method of ideological and political theory course is to grasp the essence and core of case teaching method,so as to promote the combination of theoretical construction and practical application of case teaching method in ideological and political theory course. |
