The sustainable development of education is the strategic requirement for China's education development under the background of Xi Jinping's New Era Chinese Characteristic Socialism Theory,Xi Jinping's Ecological Civilization Thoughts and the Five Core Ideas for Social Development,and a continuous promoting the sustainable development of regional education is the required path to drive a mass conversion of Socialist Education with Chinese Characteristics towards sustainability.The educational development in the zone with features of “border,poor,weak and lag” is the "depression" of China's education development,therefore studying and promoting the sustainable development of education in such areas has relatively important theoretical value and practical significance at present,which will boost not only education equity but also education coordinates as well as advance the improvement of educational weak links even boost “the Strategic Plan for Rural Revitalization”.This paper gives a depth analysis of Nujiang Prefecture's educational development,which will abide by a geographical angle and concentrate on the regional influencing factors with their demands and appeals for regional education development.Then based on the analyzing and combined with the regional education survey and SWOT analysis,the paper presents strategic path with related measures for Nujiang Prefecture's further sustainable development of education.Nujiang Prefecture is located at the border and is a larger ethnic inhabited area in China.Its relatively special development process of regional education,mountain and canyon terrain of "looking at the sky and a gap,looking at the earth and a ditch",specific location of "the junction of Yunnan,Myanmar,India and Tibet",cultural and natural environment characteristics in abundance and enriched natural resources with fragile ecology system,etc.,which puts forward many specific demands and requirements for the sustainable development of regional education.On the basis of literature research,review and theoretical analysis,this paper first establishes an analytical framework for the research on the sustainable development of education in Nujiang Prefecture from the regional education scale which starting from the theoretical space and further exploration direction found in the literature research,this paper makes an overall discussion and regional construction on the trinity thought of "space,geographical environment and sustainable development education",further combs and analyzes the conceptual system and basic theory,and puts forward and expounds the thinking framework reflecting the research focus,such as the analysis angle,analysis elements and analysis contents for the analysis of sustainable education development in Nujiang Prefecture under a regional education scale.Then,based on the established analysis framework,the paper makes an in-depth analysis of the regional characteristics and influencing factors of the education development in Nujiang Prefecture,integrating the three axes of time,space and geographical environment: it traces the special process of the educational development of Nujiang Prefecture through the research method of historical geography,through the method of map GIS analysis presents and analyzes the spatial characteristics of education development in Nujiang Prefecture,combines with analyzing the current situation,problems and demands of educational development in Nujiang Prefecture through geographical environment analysis and educational investigation.On the bases,integrating the regional characteristics of Nujiang Prefecture's educational development with the value orientation of sustainable development education,and under the coupling vision of Nujiang Prefecture's resource advantages and disadvantages,problems and challenges and the coordination of sustainable development education,the paper establishes a SWOT model for analysis,and finally puts forward the promotion strategy from four levels which are strategic thinking,strategic path,development focuses and the content emphases,as well as the measures and suggestions from the following three perspectives?overall planning from provincial government,correct guidance from local government and precise cooperation from school managers.Tt founds that Nujiang Prefecture's specific geographical location and development process of regional education have formed abundant and complex area characteristics with their demands for the education development of Nujiang Prefecture,which mainly react in the seven levels described as "the location is important but the border is poor and sluggish,the land is vast and sparsely populated but the contradiction between people and land,the ecology is rich but fragile,the region is vast but the mountains are high and the slopes are steep,the environment is beautiful but disasters occur frequently,the ethnic groups are harmonious but cross-border,and the border is peaceful but religion is intertwined".These regional characteristics with their influencing factors objectively lead to a pair of basic contradiction in Nujiang Prefecture's education development that is the contradiction between catch-up development and ecological environment protection,which proceed to the next step causes a general status quo of Nujiang Prefecture's education development in “borders,poverty,weakness,small and difficulty”.Tt is feasible to further promote the sustainable development of Nujiang Prefecture's regional education,in addition to the need of continious increasing investment and assistance in education at the national level,by giving a focus on the following important contents:(1)In terms of strategic thinking,we should adopt a strategy of adjusting measures to local conditions and developing strengths as well as avoiding weaknesses,then promote an endogenous development of education in Nujiang Prefecture through the strategic design with its supporting measures of "location and terrain characteristics + rational utilization of advantageous resources + connotative growth";(2)In the strategic path,we should focus on three major directions and paths: equitable development of regional education,ecological development of regional education and coordinated development of regional education;(3)In terms of the development stress,we should put the key points of further promoting the development of regional education on making joint efforts and overall promotion at the three levels of high-quality general education,education with local features and education with geographical characteristics,so as to speed up the development of education quality,boost the core competitiveness of regional education and improve the competitiveness of International Education in Nujiang Prefecture;(4)From the perspective of content and system,we should give emphases on promoting the balance of high-quality education resources as well as the education of ecological civilization,the education of cultural diversity,the education of cross-border characteristics,the education of tourism culture,the education for nation unity,the education for frontier safety and related contents that meet the regionality with its localities.As the supporting measures,we must further enhance the appropriateness to area features from the system design of regional education,resource layout of education,school construction and policy supply.
