Digital economy is a new type of economy characterized by the wide application of digital technology.With the penetration of digital technology in various sectors of national economy,the hierarchy of digital economy is becoming larger and larger,and the production network of digital economy is becoming more and more complex.Although each sector in the digital economy has a common feature-the application of digital technology,there are great differences in many attributes of each industry in the digital economy,such as industry category,industry scale,market concentration and so on.In the national economic network,there are also significant heterogeneity in the industrial association width,influence and importance of other industries.In the context of digital transformation in China,this heterogeneity is often ignored,which brings many problems and puzzles to the digital transformation of enterprises.Therefore,it is of great significance to objectively analyze the industrial convergence between different sectors of the digital economy and real economies,the status quo of industrial integration and the effect of this difference on the real economy for promoting China's industrial digital transformation and achieving high-quality economic development.Based on the systematic definition of the concept of digital economy,this paper gives the mapping relationship between the subdivided industries of digital economy and the national economy,and analyzes the correlation between different industries of digital economy and the real economic sectors,as well as the manufacturing industry,using the complex network model,and gives the relationship between different industries of digital economy and the manufacturing industry from the perspective of strong correlation and weak correlation.Secondly,it analyzes the current situation and trend of industrial convergence of different sectors of digital economy and manufacturing industries by using the industry classification code co-occurrence analysis and input-output analysis,and compares the correlation and advantages and disadvantages of the two analysis;then it further studies the effect of industrial convergence on the performance of manufacturing industry using econometric model.Based on the theory of C-D production function,this paper also discusses the mechanism of industrial convergence.Finally,based on the above results,this paper provides some suggestions for the convergence development of digital economy and manufacturing industry in China.The details are as follows:First,the concept of digital economy is defined systematically using semantic integration strategies.Although many scholars have expounded the concept of digital economy,none of them has been generally recognized by scholars.The phenomenon of confusing digital economy with information economy,Internet economy,new economy and other concepts often occurs.This paper systematically combs the literature on digital economy in databases at home and abroad,extracts all the sentences describing the concept of digital economy in the available literatures,analyzes the semantic facets,and merges,groups and integrates them based on the semantic similarity,so as to obtain a more unified and universal concept of digital economy: the sum of economic activities based on digital technology or digital facilities,which aims to achieve innovation,change or efficiency improvement of itself and integrated industries through integration with traditional industries.Secondly,the digital economy classification scheme corresponding to national economy industry classification is given.By combing the current situation and problems of digital economy classification at home and abroad,this paper considers that the current classification of digital economy in China is too general and too broad,which is not conducive to the statistical measurement and international comparison of digital economy.Therefore,this paper puts forward some suggestions,such as taking "national economic industry classification" as the framework,taking into account international comparability and China's actual situation,and using narrow caliber to define the scope of digital economy.According to the above suggestions,this paper divides the digital economy into three categories: digital enabling,digital content and digital transaction.These three categories include 13 two-level classifications,52 threelevel classifications and 105 four level classifications,and establishes a corresponding relationship with the subdivided industries in the national economic industry classification,which provides a basis for the study of the industry heterogeneity of the digital economy.Thirdly,based on the complex network model,this paper studies the industry association differences between digital economy and manufacturing industry.Based on the input-output table data of 149 sectors provided by China's 2017 input-output table,this paper constructs the industrial complex network,and analyzes the whole network,digital economy LAN and ego network.After the visual analysis of the whole network,it is found that in the digital enabling industry,there is a close relationship between the various sub industries of computer,communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing industries,in which the manufacturing of electronic components industry is the core industry,but in addition to the manufacturing of electronic components industry,the industrial relationship between other digital enabling industries and traditional industries is still weak.The service-oriented industries in digital enabling industry,such as telecommunications,radio and television,and satellite transmission services industry,have weaker relationships with traditional industries because most of the products in these industries are directly oriented to consumers.From the specific indicators,the out-degree and industry association width of electronic components industry are significantly higher than that of other industries,and their effective scale and efficiency also rank the first;the industry association width of software services industry,radio and television and satellite transmission services industry is the lowest,ranking 138 and 145,and the betweenness centrality is also at the end,which further shows that the two industries have strong independence in the input-output relationship.The betweenness centrality and industry symmetry of information technology services industry,Internet and related services industry are strong,indicating that the two industries have strong control ability and strong stability over other industries.In the ego network analysis,it is found that there is no inputoutput association between seven industries and one or more other industries,and weak association analysis is carried out one by one for these seven industries to find the core nodes in the ego network,and the association with the core nodes is taken as the potential path.At the same time,through the strong correlation analysis,this paper find out the manufacturing industries which are strongly related to each digital economy industry,and provide a possible path for the convergence of digital economy and manufacturing industry.Fourth,the degree of industrial convergence is calculated from the perspective of patent technology and input-output,respectively.Firstly,based on the Reference Table of International Patent Classification and National Economic Industry Classification(2018)compiled by the State Intellectual Property Office of China,the mapping relationship from patent to industry is established.Then,through the industry classification co-occurrence analysis based on patent data,the convergence degree of digital economy and non-digital economy is calculated.It is found that the convergence degree of manufacturing industry in digital economy is low but fluctuates more,while the convergence degree of service industry in digital economy is higher but fluctuates less;the convergence of different digital economy industries and manufacturing industry has certain specificity.At the same time,on the input-output perspective,this paper calculates the industrial convergence degree in 2007,2010,2012,2015 and 2017,and makes a correlation analysis with the convergence degree based on patent technology in the corresponding years,and finds that there is no significant correlation between the two.On this basis,three possible convergence paths of digital economy and manufacturing industry are proposed,which are technology innovation driven industrial convergence,market capital driven industrial convergence and talent driven industrial convergence.The differences and connections of these three convergence paths are discussed.The possibility of data-driven industrial convergence is also discussedFifth,econometric model is used to analyze the effect of industrial convergence on manufacturing performance.Referring to the relevant researches on the effect of convergence of information industry and manufacturing on manufacturing performance,this paper takes the convergence degree of two industries,market structure,ownership structure and market openness as explanatory variables,and the contribution rate of total assets and comparative labor productivity as explanatory variables,to carry out the least generalized quadratic regression analysis.The results show that the technology convergence of digital economy and manufacturing industry has a significant negative effect on the performance of manufacturing industry.After dividing the digital economy into type C(computer,communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry),type I(information transmission,software and information technology service industry)and type O(motor vehicle,electronic products and daily product repair industry),it is found that the convergence of different digital economy industries and manufacturing industry has significant differences in the performance of manufacturing industry,that is,the convergence of type C and manufacturing industry has a negative effect on the performance of manufacturing industry,while the integration of type I and manufacturing industry has a significant positive effect on the performance of manufacturing industry.On the one hand,the above results confirm the heterogeneity of the effect of the convergence of digital economy and manufacturing industry on manufacturing industry performance.On the other hand,it also suggests that China's digital economy is still in the pattern of manufacturing industry as the main industry,supplemented by service industry.Finally,according to the differences of industry association and industry convergence between different industries in digital economy and the effect of industry convergence on the performance of manufacturing industry,the paper puts forward the following suggestions: to formulate national standards for classification of digital economy,to choose the best development path according to the existing advantages,to provide guidance and support for small and medium-sized enterprises in digital transformation by the government,to vigorously develop industrial Internet,and let free competition coexist with moderate supervision.
