With the in-depth development of the fourth industrial revolution and the deep integration of information technology into global economic and social development, the role of knowledge spillover in regional economic development has become more prominent.Knowledge spillover has gradually become a key factor affecting the development trend of China's macro-economy and regional economy. For a long time, the development disparity between regions has been the focus of regional economic research. The regional development disparity is inseparable from the industrial share and industrial structure of regions, and the industrial share and industrial structure are affected by spatial knowledge spillover. Therefore, this paper selects spatial knowledge spillover as research topic.Starting from the existing theoretical research, the research on spatial knowledge spillover in new economic geography lacks the heterogeneity hypothesis of industrial structure and spatial knowledge spillover, which has shortcomings in the following three aspects: First, the differences in the level of spatial knowledge spillover in different innovation departments are not considered;Second, the difference of spatial knowledge spillover level caused by the difference of manufacturing industry scale and structure is not considered;Third, whether the transfer of a single industry between regions will affect the economic geographical pattern through the mechanism of spatial knowledge spillover is not considered. Therefore, existing papers only show that the level of spatial knowledge spillover between regions can promote a more balanced development between regions, but it can not explain that different industrial structures between regions can indirectly affect the economic and geographical pattern between regions by changing the level of spatial knowledge spillover between regions. This paper studies the heterogeneity of spatial knowledge spillovers from both theoretical and empirical ways.First, this paper defines the concepts of knowledge, knowledge structure, knowledge capital and knowledge spillover, which makes a mathematical basis for describing the structural characteristics of knowledge spillover.Second, this paper studies the heterogeneity of industrial spatial knowledge spillover effect. The spatial knowledge spillover effect between regions has been confirmed, but the structure of this knowledge spillover effect has not been deeply described. From the perspective of industry, the technological level of an industry is not only affected by the technological level spillover of the same industry in other regions, but also by the technological level spillover of other industries in this region and other regions.Taking the 2-digit industry as basic units, this paper estimates the level of knowledge spillover effect of each industry in each region, and verifies three hypotheses: spatial knowledge spillover effect between industries is not significant, spatial knowledge spillover effect in industry is significance, and spatial knowledge spillover has different levels of effect in different types of industries.Thirdly, this paper constructs a spatial knowledge spillover model under the assumption of immobile labor. Our concern is whether the intensity of spatial knowledge spillover effect of different types of industries will change the result of long-term equilibrium and the stability of long-term equilibrium under the assumption of immobility of labor. For a stable core-peripheral structure, whether the development of emerging industries with high spatial knowledge spillover effect in marginal areas can change the central peripheral structure in the long run.Fourth, this paper builds a spatial knowledge spillover model under the assumption of labor mobility. The labor mobility is actually allowing the real wage level of the two regions to be different. This is the driving force of labor mobility.Under this model,it is more economical and economic characteristics of different regions of the contract. We can study how the equilibrium state and total social welfare of two regions in a country are affected by the level of spatial knowledge spillover. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:China has significant intra industry spatial knowledge spillover effect, but there is no significant inter industry spatial knowledge spillover effect.2.China's spatial knowledge spillover has heterogeneity in different industries, and the level of spatial knowledge spillover effect is different in different industries.3. Innovation is the agglomeration force in regional development, and knowledge spillover is the decentralization force in regional development.4.The differences of spatial knowledge spillovers of industries affect the pattern of economic geography.5.The flow of labor force between regions can stabilize the economic geographical structure by eliminating the real wage gap.The marginal contributions of this paper are as follows:1.It provides a new research framework for knowledge spillover theory.By describing a framework of knowledge structure, this paper includes two kinds of knowledge spillover theories under the same theory, and better explains the essential attributes of knowledge spillover,so as to provide a new research framework for the existing theory.2.It provides new research support for new economic geography. This paper relaxes the assumption of knowledge spillover homogeneity in the classical model of new economic geography, enriches the menu of new economic geography, and provides a new support for the theory of new economic geography.3.It provides a new perspective for spatial econometrics.Based on the micro level data of enterprises, the empirical research of this paper deeply studies the spatial knowledge spillover effect within and between industries by regression of each industry. Therefore, this paper provides a new view of the application of spatial econometrics in regional economics.
