The construction industry,as a high-risk industry,suffers from frequent safety issues in project management.In many construction safety accidents,the unsafe behavior of construction workers is one of the main causes.In recent years,scholars in the industry carry out research on the safety behavior of construction workers from the perspective of both external and internal factors.However,the research of the impact of managers’ safety attitudes on construction workers’ safety behavior is relatively weak,and the contextual factors of the relationship between workers and managers are ignored.Therefore,this thesis studied the influencing path and process of managers’ safety attitudes on the safety behavior of construction workers in the context of relationship,aiming to provide a basis and reference for construction site safety management and improve the safety management level of the construction industry.According to leader-member exchange theory and planned behavior theory,this thesis used literature analysis to sort out the relevant literature on safety attitude,safety behavior and relational,and defined the connotation of managers’ safety attitude and construction workers’ safety behavior.Next,the rooted theory was applied to carry out qualitative research on the influence of managers’ safety attitudes on the safety behavior of construction workers and construct the conceptual model of managers’ safety attitudes affecting the safety behavior of construction workers.Then,based on the maturity scale,interview records and expert discussions,the initial measurement scale of managers’ safety attitudes,worker safety awareness,trust managers,workers’ safety capabilities,formal relationships,informal relationships and construction workers’ safety behaviors was designed to form a formal questionnaire.Furthermore,based on the observational data obtained from the questionnaire,the conceptual model was tested by comprehensively using structural equation models and multiple regression analysis.Finally,based on the empirical model,a multi-agent simulation model of managers’ safety attitudes affecting workers’ safety behaviors was built to carry out univariate and multivariate analysis and obtain relevant management inspirations ultimately.Based on the research above,this thesis reaches the following conclusions.First,managers’ safety attitude has a multi-dimensional structure,which can be divided into safety cognition,safety emotion and safety behavior tendency.Second,the influence of each manager’s safety attitude sub-dimension on workers’ safety behavior is different.To elucidate,managers’ safety cognition indirectly affects workers’ safety behaviors through workers’ safety awareness;managers’ safety emotions can not only directly affect workers’ safety behaviors,but also indirectly affect workers’ safety behaviors through trusting managers;managers’ safety behavior tendency can directly affect workers’ safety behaviors,and meanwhile indirectly affect workers’ safety behaviors through worker safety capability.Third,normal relationships positively affect the influence process of the managers’ safety cognition on workers’ safety awareness,as well as the influence process of managers’ behavioral tendency on workers’ safety capabilities but is of no significant effect on the impact process of emotion and trusting managers.Informal relationship positively affects the impact process of managers’ emotion on trusting managers,and the impact process of managers’ behavioral tendency on workers’ safety ability but is of no significant effect on the impact process of managers’ safety cognition on workers’ safety awareness.Fourth,the simulation analysis shows that construction workers are more likely to adopt safety behaviors under univariate high-level scenarios constructed by the dimension of managers’ safety attitudes,and that under a multivariate high-level scenario consisting of the dimension of manager safety attitude,worker safety awareness,worker trust manager,worker safety ability,formal relationship and informal relationship,the safety behavior of construction workers will be generated faster.The innovative points of the thesis are as follows.First,make up for the lack of measurement methods for the safety attitude of managers in the construction field.Second,deepen the research on the influence path of managers’ safety attitudes on the safety behavior of construction workers.Third,expand the study of how the relationship between managers and workers will affect the influence of managers’ safety attitudes on the safe behavior of construction workers.The research results enrich the existing knowledge system of worker safety behavior,and provide a basis and reference for project managers to carry out safety management and to formulate related normative systems.
