This paper studies the effect of high-speed railway on regional economic spatial structure in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone.On the basis of summarizing relevant literature and existing theories,this paper investigates and concludes the current situation of regional economic space structure in ChengduChongqing economic zone,establishes a theoretical model according to the existing theoretical system framework and the actual situation of the research object,and conducts empirical analysis according to the theoretical model.This paper mainly discusses the following problems: 1.The construction of high-speed railway and the regional economic spatial structure of Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone before and after the high-speed railway is opened;2.Compare the impact of high-speed rail on economic development and industrial agglomeration of cities along the route under static conditions;3.Dynamic changes in the concentration of labor force in cities along the high-speed railway and non-highspeed railway;4.Overflow of technical space along the high-speed railway;5.Changes of regional economic relations after incorporating high-speed rail into the dual-core spatial structure model,and its influence on regional spatial structure.In terms of structure arrangement,the first chapter of this paper is an introduction.Chapter two is the theoretical basis and literature review.The third chapter analyses the mechanism of regional space structure affected by high-speed railway.Chapter four analyzes the historical economic endowment and regional spatial structure of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone.Chapter five,chapter six and chapter seven make a detailed analysis of the flow of capital,labor and knowledge technology in Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone after the high-speed railway is opened,and discuss the influence of these factors flow on regional economic structure.The eighth chapter discusses the regional economic relations between Chengdu and Chongqing.Chapter nine is conclusions and policy recommendations.This paper uses the method of combining theoretical analysis and empirical analysis,by constructing a theoretical model,comparison,statistics,analysis,empirical methods to study,use of contrast,economic mathematics modeling,input and output analysis,grey correlation analysis method,the least squares regression,spatial econometric regression norms and empirical analysis methods,such as,two key problems are discussed in detail:First,how does the high-speed railway impact the regional economic agglomeration and diffusion of the spatial structure of regional economy: when high-speed railway having transport service,the regional economic agglomeration level of Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone has improved greatly,the increase is mainly embodied in the second industry and tertiary industry,especially the construction industry and service industry related to food and clothing live line.This agglomeration also leads to the imbalance of regional economic development.The regional economic growth rate of regions with higher agglomeration level is also relatively fast,and the regional economic development is no longer homogeneous,whereas the regional gap being gradually expand.In terms of labor force flow,except Chengdu and Chongqing,two core cities have the effect of labor force inflow,most of the other cities have the effect of outflow.The input-output analysis shows that the high-speed railway actually promotes the capital diffusion of the dual nuclear city,especially that of Chengdu.In terms of knowledge elements,the empirical analysis results show that the talent flows to Chengdu and Chongqing,two dualcore cities along the high-speed railway.Meanwhile,the importance of knowledge technology and talent in the economic development of cities along the high-speed railway keeps increasing.Second,whether the change of the regional economic space structure of Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone that brings by high-speed railway is beneficial to the long-term development of the regional economy,namely,whether high-speed railway is intensified competition for regional core city or enhance the regional economic cooperation: high-speed railway opening into the development direction of Chongqing city of two main industry has made great adjustment,two different city area function of positioning is gradually implemented,along with the high speed railway traffic of enhanced regional economic ties,"dual-core" Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone has abandoned the the development of regional structure pattern of homogeneity in the same industry competition,changing to a new mode of regional economic cooperation step by step.High-speed railway opening,great change have taken place in ChengduChongqing economic zone in economic space structure.First,with the improvement of accessibility,the contact of the cities in the zone become more closely,it is advantageous to the area to enhance the efficiency of the allocation of resources.Second,regional economy tend to be more concentrated,no matter from the perspective of knowledge capital,labor and technology,the core city of Chengdu and Chongqing two economic dimension are accelerating inflation,while the cities along the high iron appeared different degree of economic decline.Third,regional industry division of labor has being come true between the two core cities,the Chengdu tend to be more high-end manufacturing,when Chongqing is more inclined to the construction industry and related industries.On the whole,the regional structure evolution of Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone is not separated from the existing regional economic theoretical,and it is at the agglomeration stage in the general evolution law of agglomeration before diffusion.The emergence of high-speed railway accelerates the evolution rate,and promotes the division of regional division and the deepening of regional economic relations.Based on the conclusions we found in this paper,there are three policy recommendations: 1.Refine the development plan of Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone from a new height.2.Actively introduce and implement supporting policies to ensure that economic elements gathered in the two core cities of Chengdu and Chongqing are used reasonably and efficiently,giving full play to regional agglomeration effect brought about by high-speed railway.3.Speed up the construction of high-speed railway.
