| Agroforestry is a common mode of farmers’ production and management.Over the years, farmers have continuously accumulated experience, enriched and improved its connotation in the process of production and management, and have formed an agroforestry compound management system conducive to output, which has played an important role in the efficient utilization of agricultural resources. With the development and maturity of this field,A large number of research results on Agroforestry have been born. However, the research on Agroforestry Management in Semi-arid Region is not mature,The agroforestry complex management in Semi-arid Region has distinct characteristics and unique advantages.Through combing, this thesis finds that the development process of agroforestry complex management in Semi-arid Region is divided into four periods:natural self-developed agroforestry complex management stage, independent development agroforestry complex management stage, market driven agroforestry complex management stage, which is transformed into rural revitalization The ecological leading agroforestry compound management stage marked by building a well-off society in an all-round way.At present, the development of agroforestry led by ecology is not only a part of agriculture, but also a part of the "Three Rural Problems".How to inherit and make good use of the ecological value of agroforestry seems to have become a solution to the dilemma of Agriculture,Farmers and Countryside.Under the background of comprehensively promoting the Rural Revitalization Strategy and ensuring national food security and ecological security, this thesis discusses the driving factors of farmers’ agroforestry compound management in Semi-arid Region and the influencing factors of farmers’ ecological agroforestry compound management income, which is of great significance to optimize the development of ecological agroforestry compound management, guide agroforestry compound management to take the ecological road, and realize the sustainable utilization of forestry resources in Semi-arid Region, especially in ecological public welfare forest areas It is of great significance to protect the ecological environment and increase farmers’ income. In view of this, taking the ecological public welfare forest area of Aohan banner in Chifeng City,Inner Mongolia as an example, this thesis investigates and collects 873 effective sample data of farmers in three regions including southern mountainous area, central hilly area and Northern sandy area with different regional characteristics of Aohan banner, and uses OLS model and logit model regression method to identify the driving factors and action mechanism of farmers’ agroforestry compound management in Semi-arid Region;Using quantile regression model and tobit regression model, this thesis empirically tests the influencing factors of farmers’ ecological agroforestry compound operation income, optimizes the development path of ecological agroforestry compound operation in combination with the driving force of farmers’ agroforestry compound operation, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.Research finds that:(1)The analysis of the driving factors of farmers’ Agroforestry Management in Semi-arid Region shows that at present, farmers’ enthusiasm to participate in ecological Agroforestry Management in Semi-arid Region is not high, and the development of ecological Agroforestry Management is still difficult to predict to a great extent;Labor force, cultivated land area, livestock stock,per-capita net income, compound management years, forest land contracting policy, sales price of agricultural and forestry products and forest land area have a significant impact on Farmers’ participation in ecological compound management, but the direction and degree of impact are different.(2)The important reason for farmers to participate in the development of agroforestry is that the terrain and ecological endowment of farmers in the north are different from those in the hilly area, and the active management endowment of farmers in the north is different from that of farmers in the hilly area,It restricts the development of ecological agroforestry.(3)Although the overall enthusiasm of farmers to participate in ecological agroforestry in Semi-arid Region is not high, under the incentive of the current ecological public welfare forest protection policy, the income of agroforestry of different farmers varies greatly, and there is strong distribution heterogeneity, especially for farmers with low income of agroforestry.(4)The impact of the interaction item of household income and household size classification on the income of ecological agroforestry is different due to the difference of forest land size.On the one hand, the higher the household income, the stronger the farmers’ ability to withstand unexpected risks such as natural disasters in production by using relevant forces, and they can cope with emergencies by maintaining or even adding investment,Therefore, the impact of household income on ecological agroforestry income is negative. On the other hand,as households with higher household income and larger forest scale are often in the stage of higher enthusiasm and increasing returns to scale, they act more like rational producers in the combination of agriculture and forestry, factor allocation and other aspects,so the interaction coefficient between household income and household size classification is significantly positive.(5)Based on the problems existing in the development of ecological agroforestry in Semi-arid Region, combined with the driving force of farmers’ participation in ecological agroforestry, this thesis constructs an optimal path for the development of ecological agroforestry around the three main bodies of government departments, social service departments and farmers. |
