| During the period of the Republic of China,China was undergoing a transformation and reform from a feudal dynasty to a modern sovereign state.Yunnan local chronicles of the Republic of China is one of the important carriers to explore the process of building a multi-ethnic state in a multi-dimensional and all-round way.At the same time,the discourse system of Chinese local chronicles is facing remodeling and reconstruction from both the world and China dimensions.Starting from the combination of theory and practice,history and era,the compilers of Yunnan local chronicles in the Republic of China actively explored the expression and contribution of The discourse system of "Local Chronicle China" in the construction of modern sovereign state in terms of national concept,national shaping,territory and sovereignty,and historical and cultural identity.In view of the combination of problem orientation and goal orientation,this paper has two clues: bright line and dark line.The bright line answers how the compilers of Yunnan local chronicles of the Republic of China understand the construction of multi-ethnic state,how to respond to the cross swords between the theories of single-ethnic country in the West and the construction of multi-ethnic country,and how to construct the discourse system of "local chronicles of China" in Yunnan local chronicles of the Republic of China.The dark line explores the interaction between the construction of a multi-ethnic state and the discourse system of "Local Chronicle China",and summarizes the "Yunnan Program" of the construction of a multi-ethnic country during the Republic of China period.After research and discussion,opinions are put forward as follows:First of all,the compilation of Yunnan local chronicles in the Republic of China was fruitful and distinctive.First,the theory of Yunnan local chronicles in the Republic of China is innovative in style,content and scope.Second,the style reflects the efforts of compilers to construct the discourse system of modern sovereign states.Third,there are various types of achievements in the revision of chronicles.In terms of characteristics,the first is the diversification of compiling subjects.Secondly,it reflects the efforts of the compilers to construct modern sovereign states.Thirdly,it reflects the rising concept of "new historiography" and strong patriotism in academic circles.Fourth,the different ways of national governance directly lead to the imbalance of geographical distribution of local chronicles.Secondly,the concept of state embodied in Yunnan local chronicles during the Republic of China provided a fundamental follow for the construction of modern sovereign state."Respecting the monarch" has always been the classical expression of traditional Chinese national concept.The appearance of modern sovereign state elements such as nationality and flag in Yunnan local chronicles at the end of Qing Dynasty made the national concept have the characteristics of "mixing old and new" and continue in Yunnan local chronicles of the Republic of China period.Due to the change of compiling group and the concept of revising local chronicles,the concept of State Concept in Yunnan local chronicles of the Republic of China had changed into two aspects.On the one hand,the concept of nation-state in the world’s vision is to transform China with the European and American countries and Japan as the yardstick to avoid the elimination.On the other hand,the Sinicized view of nation-state is to find the joint point of modern nation-state from the traditional Chinese " Family,Country and The World".Thirdly,from the perspective of "trinity" of ethnic group-state-national people,Yunnan local chronicles of the Republic of China explored and practiced the theory of national shaping from three levels: ethnic integration,cultural and educational governance,and the transformation of folk customs.In the aspect of ethnic integration,measures should be taken to break down regional concepts and eliminate cultural differences so as to build the Chinese national community.In the aspect of cultural and educational governance,we should cultivate,strengthen and consolidate the national concepts and ethnic consciousness of the indigenous peoples in the border areas by means of border education with the main contents of resisting imperialist aggression,carrying out civilized governance and eliminating ethnic boundaries.In the aspect of transforming folk customs,ethnic concepts and national consciousness are integrated into national commemoration and daily life,and the process of national shaping is promoted subtly.Fourthly,the local chronicles of Yunnan in the Republic of China outlined the formation of China’s Southwest Territory in modern times from three aspects: territorial outlook,vassal system and chieftain system,border affairs negotiation and sovereignty maintenance,which provided theoretical elaboration and vivid practice of territory and sovereignty for the construction of modern sovereign state.The interaction between politics and academia constitutes the background of the formation of the territorial outlook of Yunnan local chronicles in the Republic of China,which includes the continuation and rupture of the territorial outlook,the contention and prudent closure of the rulers and the coexistence of the formation of the territorial outlook and the geographical distribution of ethnic groups.The compilers of Yunnan local chronicles in the Republic of China have a clear understanding of the instability of the vassal system and the chieftain system.With the rise of the people’s consciousness of territorial sovereignty,they explored the development of frontiers and the consolidation of national defense from the three aspects of theory,practice and the interaction between theory and practice,thus laying a territorial foundation for the construction of modern sovereign state.Fifthly,historical and cultural identity is the cornerstone of the discourse system of Yunnan local chronicles in the Republic of China,which provides a solid foundation of national identity and political identity for the construction of modern sovereign state construction.The local chronicles of Yunnan in the Republic of China constructed the sense of historical and cultural identity from three aspects: the legend of ethnic origin,the cultural metaphor of Yunnan reward ancestral temple and the construction of Yunnan ancestral temple in the Republic of China.In the aspect of historical writing,this paper starts with Guanyu worship,Du Wenxiu’s uprising,the National Protection Movement and its commemoration,and the new compilation of Yunnan chronicle to analyze the exploration of ethnic integration,national construction and grand unification in historical writing.In the context of the construction of modern sovereign state,the love of homeland and patriotism was encouraged by the biographical history of Yunnan local chronicles of the Republic of China.On the basis of making historical figures have distinct "national imprint",we try to break through the shackles of traditional regional concept and construct a new man-land relationship from the two dimensions of China and the world,so as to make the historical figures in Yunnan local chronicles of the Republic of China a bridge and link to build national identity.The discourse system of "Local Chronicle China" is the exploratory achievement of dealing with "the great changes that China has not experienced in 3000 years" and "the great changes that the world has not seen in 100 years",and has accumulated valuable "Yunnan Program" in the construction of a multi-ethnic country during the Republic of China.First,the local chronicles of Yunnan in the Republic of China constructed the spiritual homeland of people living in Yunnan.In rural areas,we firmly adhere to the principle that Yunnan is China,and patriotism must begin with loving your hometown.Secondly,the local chronicles of Yunnan in the Republic of China played the role of casting the soul to nurture the human in the construction of a multi-ethnic state.Through the construction of the discourse system of "local chronicles of China",a "Cultural Great Wall" has been constructed for the development and national
