development.In the process of exploring the integration and development of cross-strait cultures,we should not only deepen the exchanges of excellent traditional Chinese culture,but also pay attention to the exchanges of popular and popular cultures across the strait.Because popular culture has become an important part of contemporary culture,and entering the Internet age,the production,dissemination and consumption of popular culture across the Taiwan Strait are increasingly showing a new cultural landscape of narrative convergence,acceptance synchronization,and consumer resonance.In recent years,the cross-strait popular culture interaction based on variety shows has become more and more popular.TV variety shows are not only one of the representatives of cross-strait popular culture,but also an indispensable part of cross-strait folk exchanges.More importantly,because variety show culture closely follows the trend of the times,shows individuality,and is full of youthful vitality,it fully meets the aesthetic and consumer needs of the new generation of young people on both sides of the strait,and has become an important channel for young people on both sides of the strait to strengthen exchanges,deepen understanding,and enhance recognition."TV variety culture" has multiple characteristics,such as strong entertainment,rich content,wide audience,etc.It not only has its own multi-cultural forms such as art culture,science and technology culture and business culture,but also gathers the elite culture and mass culture in the TV cultural structure to achieve the coexistence and development of multi cultures.At the same time,it also comprehensively reflects the profound changes in the values,lifestyle,spiritual outlook and psychological state of the country,region,nation,society and individuals caused by the program communication.For both sides of the Taiwan Strait,as "another mirror image" of the times and social changes,TV variety is not only one of the symbols of the spiritual aesthetics of the people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait,but also a real and timely reflection of the development of politics,economy,trade,society,culture and science and technology on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.A shallow strait has formed a clear geographical boundary between the two sides of the Strait,but the development of new media technology promotes the cross-strait media to create a new communication geography,and the interactive infiltration of cross-strait TV variety culture in communication and influence is also strengthened and deepened.At the same time,due to the different historical background and cultural context,it has also created the differences between the two sides in social system,economic development and media ecology.In addition,the development and development of cross-strait TV variety show different patterns and tracks.Therefore,although there is a certain intersection,interaction and consensus in the field of cross-strait TV variety culture,many significant differences have also been generated.The time range of this study is limited to 1990,when the form of TV variety shows in the mainland was officially confirmed,and cross-strait TV variety shows embarked on standardized exchanges,and 2019,when cross-strait interactions were normalized before the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic.Based on the special historical blood relationship between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait,this paper conducts a comparative study of the TV variety show culture on both sides of the Taiwan Strait from 1990 to 2019 through the perspectives of cultural geography,sociology of popular culture,media ecology,and "value chain" theory.Using interdisciplinary research method,comparative research method,literature analysis method,case study method and in-depth interview method,it constructs a systematic framework for comparative research on TV variety show culture across the Taiwan Strait,mainly focusing on the similarities and differences and interactive analysis of hosting culture,morphological characteristics,and content industry.The important nodes,iconic works,typical events,new developments,difficult cruxes,and the reasons behind them are discussed in detail as much as possible,trace the history and social changes of the two sides of the strait,and explore its deep cultural and psychological structure,in order to promote the cross-strait The integration and development of TV variety show culture seeks experience and countermeasures,and provides theoretical basis and practical materials for the exploration of new ways of cross-strait integration and development.Based on this,this comparison is not only an analysis in the sense of a variety show typology,but also compares it with the overall social and cultural development process on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.Firstly,it combs and analyzes the era context of cross-strait TV variety.This paper summarizes the external environmental characteristics of cross-strait TV variety from1990 to 2019 from three aspects: the evolution of cross-strait media interaction,the close interaction between popular culture consumption and variety culture production,and the current ecological observation of cross-strait TV variety,focusing on the new forms,new turns and new cultural phenomena in the development and interaction of cross-strait TV variety in the context of media evolution and technological change.Secondly,in the next three chapters,the hosting culture,morphological characteristics and content industry of TV variety shows on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are compared and analyzed respectively: The first is to compare and analyze the hosting culture of TV interaction.Starting from the two representative texts of Taiwan variety "Kangxi is coming" and mainland variety "The Voice of China",this paper carries out an in-depth exploratory case analysis to explore its cultural communication and profound influence on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.Combined with the context of the new era,focus on the "Taiwan variety artists" between the two sides of the Strait,review the 30-year journey of Taiwan variety artists to the west,explore the way of integration of Taiwan variety artists,sort out and analyze the spread,acceptance and influence of Taiwan variety artists in the mainland according to the theory of cultural geography,so as to further explore the methods and space for the interaction and integration of cross-strait variety culture.Finally,focusing on the practical significance,cultural path and possible trend of cross-strait TV variety cooperation,this paper analyzes,judges and puts forward strategic suggestions to promote the long-term development and cultural integration of cross-strait TV variety,so as to provide theoretical basis and practical materials for exploring a new way of cross-strait integration and development.In short,whether it is mainland variety show or Taiwan variety show,it is a typical and complex cultural phenomenon.Although TV variety culture is only a branch of cross-strait TV culture,or even a branch of cross-strait cultural system,it has indeed become an active factor affecting and promoting the overall process under the background of the development of cross-strait relations entering a new stage.Because the development and interaction of cross-strait TV variety has its dynamics,regularity and complexity,it means that there is always a lot of room for interpretation in the comparative study of cross-strait TV variety culture.By comparing the similarities and differences of TV variety culture on both sides of the Taiwan Strait,it will help us deepen our understanding of the essence and function of TV variety culture on both sides of the Taiwan Strait,deepen the research of TV variety culture,open up the development path and cooperation space of TV variety culture industry on both sides of the Taiwan Strait,and promote and realize the cultural integration on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
