Culture is the symbol of a country and a nation,and is the spiritual home of the people.Chinese culture,one of the ancient civilizations of the world,has been uninterrupted from the very beginning and has continued to develop until today,as a result of its own accumulation and absorption of foreign cultures over the past 5,000 years.The inheritance,development and dissemination of Chinese culture play an important role in building collective memory,shaping cultural identity and promoting the progress of human civilization.In 2017,the State Council of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued a major state policy: the comprehensive revival of traditional culture.Among them,"nourishing literary creation" is one of the seven key tasks,requiring literary works to be adept at extracting themes from traditional Chinese culture,implementing plans for the creation and dissemination of online literature,and promoting online works to inherit and develop excellent Chinese traditional culture.As one of the important carriers for spreading Chinese culture,cultural online variety shows have an important mission."Glory Is Back! Luoyang" is made by i Qiyi,and adopts the shooting method of "Documentary + Reality Show" to explore culture from eight major themes,such as archaeology and ancient tomb culture.At the end of each theme,the historical glory of the ancient capital Luoyang is reproduced by means of "Restoration Tribute Show",and the story of Luoyang is told in a youthful voice.This thesis will take "Glory Is Back!Luoyang" as the research object,and take James W.Carey’s view of communication ceremony as the theoretical support,and analyze the ritualized communication of "Glory Is Back! Luoyang".The full text is divided into six parts.In the introduction part,it first expounds the realistic background and research significance of this study,and then focuses on combing the research status of the theory of communication ceremony at home and abroad,the research status of cultural network variety shows from the perspective of communication ceremony,and clarifies the research methods and innovations of this thesis.The first chapter firstly summarizes the theory of communication ritual view.James W.Carey’s ritual view takes cultural studies as the core,and he thinks that ritual is a metaphor of communication,and realizes the sharing of meaning and value through ritual communication;Secondly,it analyzes the background and concept definition of the rise of cultural network variety shows;At the same time,it discusses the rationality of taking care of programs with the concept of communication ceremony.Through in-depth understanding of the theory and analysis and integration of program information,it is necessary to further study "Glory Is Back! Luoyang" under the care of the theory.The second chapter analyzes the symbolic presentation of the program’s ritualized communication through three aspects: process symbols,participant symbols,and scene symbols under theoretical care.The program process is the embodiment of ritual proceduralization;all members involved in the program process are indispensable elements in the process of ritual communication;the scene setting of the program creates the ritual space of the program.The third chapter analyzes the value manifestation of the program’s ritualized communication from the establishment of cultural self-confidence,the program’s promotion of mainstream values,and the cohesion of emotions.Through tracing and describing traditional tomb culture,food and ritual culture,and architectural culture,the program establishes people’s cultural identity and cultural self-confidence;through the program’s observation of reality,it promotes mainstream values;through the cohesion of individual emotions and national emotions,it arouses people’s deep emotional resonance.The fourth chapter analyzes the problems of the ritualized communication of "Glory Is Back! Luoyang" and proposes corresponding optimization paths,in order to provide reference for other similar programs.On the one hand,it focuses too much on the process of the program and neglects the rhythm of content narration;on the other hand,the audience interaction is not enough,and the impact of the program is limited.Therefore,we should focus on the depth of content narration,supplemented by the process;at the same time,we should pay attention to the power of the audience and broaden the channels of ritual interaction,so as to improve the influence of the program;take the excellent culture as the root,and focus on the manifestation of the communication value of the program.The sixth section summarizes the research content,findings and research shortcomings of this thesis,and also presents an outlook on the research of cultural online variety shows. |
