Spatial Distribution Characteristics And Influence Factors Of Tourism Resouces Of Mekong Delta In Vietnam

Tourism is the major economic sector and its tourism resources has always been considered as a core issue in the research and investment into the tourism development activities.In Vietnam,tourism thrives with many different strategies such as developing highly valued tourism product,ensuring sustainability and competitiveness,as well as attracting the greater market and tourism investors.The Mekong Delta in Viet Nam(also called the Region)which is located in southern Vietnam has abundant potential resources for tourism development and special advantages.Greater Competitiveness in tourism development among localities,between regions and among countries increase tourism production and there by tourists to the locality,region and country.Spatial pattern is the spatial configuration of tourism elements,which refers to the spatial location of tourism resources,and is one of the important contents of tourism geography research.This paper mainly uses the spatial analysis method of geography to explore more details about the spatial distribution characteristics and influencing factors of tourism resources of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam,in order to fully understand the current situation of tourism resources of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam,and provide countermeasures and suggestions for the optimization of tourism resources development in this area.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on the above research background,this paper expounds the theoretical and practical significance of the study,explains the connotation and extension of tourism and tourism resources according to predecessors’ research,defines the concept of tourism and tourism resources,location theory,the circuit theory are the basis of this study.Next,establish the scope of the study area and the research object,analyze the tourism development conditions of Mekong Delta in Vietnam,and construct the classification system of tourism resources.The classification system of tourism resources in the Mekong Delta is constructed with the main categories included:natural tourism resources and human tourism resources.At the same time,it briefly analyzes the current status of tourism development of Mekong Delta in Vietnam.In the current tourism development background,tourism resources are a very important role.(2)The database of tourism resources in Mekong Delta has established based on these,1119 sample points included.Neighborhood Index analysis,nuclear density analysis and buffer analysis,Lorenz Curve,Gini coefficient methods Other methods have been utilized to explore the overall spatial distribution characteristics of tourism resources in the Mekong Delta:The agglomeration state is remarkable,showing a trend of development,and some regions agglomerate obviously,and the regional distribution is not balanced.The main distribution of tourism resources is concentrated along the east and northeast.The spatial type of tourism resources of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam is still agglomerated but closer to a random distribution,the distribution is more and more balanced;There are three bands in the growth of tourism resources of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam.That is,the "faster long-term" from the initial development stage to 2000,the "development stage" from 2000 to 2008,and the "rapid development stage" from 2008 to the present.To certain extent,this indicates that the tourism resources of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam have great development potential and development trend in the future.From the perspective to the differences in the distribution of tourism resources of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam and the development trend,the distribution of tourism resources is heavy and develop of time is from northeast to southwest.The distribution of tourism resources and tourism resources are highly uniform.Positive correlation,tourism resources present typical nuclear and edge diffusion characteristics.(3)The basic elements of tourism resource development include spatial pattern,policy and economy have become important factors influencing the distribution of tourism resources and the distribution of such resources is closely related to traffic distribution.Traffic affects the overall distribution of tourism resources.The traffic connectivity of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam during the 10 years from 2008 to 2018 has gradually increased,and the density of transportation networks has gradually increased.By analyzing its accessibility,it was found that the tourism resources of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam were the highest in 2018.Affected by the tourist market and traffic location,tourism resources have formed a ring-shaped agglomeration around the urban area.The social environment,cultural environment and tourism policies have affected the organization of tourism activities.The background and location of tourism resources affect the distribution characteristics of regional tourism activities.(4)Combining field research and the spatial distribution characteristics of tourism resources of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam,suggestions for the optimization of tourism resources in the Mekong Delta are proposed:optimize the allocation and balanced development,segment the tourism market and improve tourism products,enrich the tourism industry and seek clustering,promote the integrated development of regional suburban tourism,tap potential resources,focus on the development of tourism resources,continue to improve the regional transportation system,strengthen linkages,improve communication,improve the tourism environment,organize guarantees,protect tourism resources,and so on.(5)The lack of research are Shortages and prospects.Research is an issue that needs to be improved:First,there are certain limitations in data acquisition.Second,the scope of the field research about the types and quantities of tourism resource points need to be further enriched and screened.Moreover,the future research is expected,we should pay attention to the study of the temporal and spatial dynamic changes of tourism resources,pay attention to the development of tourism in different regions and compare them.The final indicators are all important factors influencing the spatial distribution of tourism resources.It is important to continue to study the scientific and systematic needs for further research and promotion.
