| This study investigated how Chinese expatriates’ transformational leadership on local people affected employee performance and the mediating roles of various factors.The study investigated the effects of Chinese expatriate transformational leadership one employee performance,effects of Chinese expatriate transformational leadership on job engagement,effects of Chinese expatriate transformational leadership on Organizational Cultural Behavior.The study also investigated the mediating effect of job engagement and Organizational Cultural Behavior on the relationship between Chinese expatriate transformational leadership on employee performance among the local South Sudanese.The study adopted an analytical cross-sectional study design in which questionnaires were administered 300 employees.The data was entered in SPSS Version 20.0 and analyzed at both descriptive and inferential levels in which Structural Equation Modeling through path analysis was fitted in STATA Version 14.0.The results after fitting a multiple linear regression model fitted showed that Chinese Expatriate Transformational Leadership has got a significant positive effect on the employee performance(β=.296,p<0.001)keeping other factors constant.Organizational cultural behavior(β=.833,p<0.001)and work engagement(β=.201,p<0.001)had a significant positive effect on the employee performance.The results with regard to mediation effects showed that Chinese Expatriate Transformational Leadership as mediated by Organizational Cultural Behavior contributed the highest 32.3%towards employee performance.It is recommended that Chinese transformational leadership combined with Organization cultural Behavior could result in better employee performance. |
