With the spring up of positive psychology and organizational behavior,the positive psychological states of employees is gradually introduced into relevant researchers of the human resource management.In the situation,the employees' work engagement is widely concerned by scholars.On the one hand,the new generation of employees are becoming a mainstay of the society.At the same time,they also undertake the heavy pressure and appear the situation of passive working attitude,the decrease of the enthusiasm for work,the constantly changing of the occupation concept,which can lead to the drop of the work engagement.On the other hand,with the development of society,the new generation of employees are not only satisfied with the material benefits.They pay more attention to the challenge of work and the sense of achievement from work leaders,especially the management style of leader will have an important influence on the new generation of employees,who have just joined in work or worked for a short time.The studies at home and abroad of the relationship between the transformational leadership style and work engagement are rare.What's more,the study of the mediation mechanism between the two variables is more rare.Based on this,the study selects the new generation of employees as the research object,the transformational leadership style as the independent variable,the work engagement as the dependent variable to study the relationship among the three variables.The study on the base of reading and sorting the studies about transformational leadership style,psychological contract and work engagement at home and abroad,which builds the research model between transformational leadership style and work engagement.The questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the relevant situation of the new generation of employees,and 269 samples were obtained.Secondly,statistical analysis method spss20.0 was used to conduct data analysis.Empirical results show that:1.Transformational leadership style has a significant positive impact on the new generation of employees' work engagement.2.Transformational leadership style has a significant positive effect on psychological contract.Among them,the transformational leadership style has a significant positive effect on the three dimensions of psychological contract,interpersonal responsibility,developmental responsibility,normative responsibility.3.The psychological contract has a significant positive influence on workengagement.The two dimensions of psychological contract,interpersonal responsibility and developmental responsibility have significant positive influence on work engagement.Normative responsibility has no relevance to work engagement.4.Psychological contract plays an intermediary role between transformational leadership style and work engagement.Among them,interpersonal responsibility plays an partial intermediary role between transformational leadership style and work engagement.The development responsibility plays an partial intermediary role between transformational leadership style and work engagement.The mediating effect of normative responsibility has not be proved.
