The View Of Truth In Science Of Larry Laudan

The question of truth is always predominate the area of science .It dominate the dispute and the propagate of science .Distinguishing the truth from science is necessary for locating the science and learning science and applying science .Larry Laudan is a famous philosopher of science .He has a deep insight in science .Learning the thoughts of Larry Laudan is helpful for learning science and understanding science .The view of truth is the essential question and the difficulte question in philosophy of science .in the history of westen philosophy . The discuss of the truth has started from Parmenides to Plato and scepticism ,from Kant to Heidegger ,and logical empiricism, in the philosophy of science ,The view of the truth is the sign of distinguishing logical empiricism,anti-rationalism,scientific historicism,scientific realism. It is the clue of the evolution of philosophy of science . Schlick Moritz divided the truth into two parts ,one is formal truth and the other is empirical truth .Formal truth means the coherence and no contradiction in the theses .Empirical truth lies on the accordance between theses and reality. From logical analysis ,empirical truth means the matter of verification.Propper believe the mission of the science is exploring of truth .Although we can not reach the goal . Propper admitted there has objective truth . The science is a infinite process of approaching the truth .But scientific historicism Kuhn thought the revolution of science is a shift of diagram .The former science and the latter science of revolution of science are not comparable .The revolution of science is a psychological shift of Gestalt .Larry Laudan avoided the question of truth .He thought rationality of the sientific progress lies on the new theory has better ability of solving problems. Larry Laudan revised the view of Kuhn about the revolution of science .It made us accept it more smoothly. But he did not regard science as truth like logical empiricism. He study the science from its history .So he belongs to scientific historicism .This thesis consist of six parts .It intrduced the concept of the truth in the history of westen philosophy,the structure of science of Laudan,the view of the truth of Laudan.the view of Laudan to scientific realism,sociology of science .The perception of Laudan in science is widely. It included inner science , outer science and the history of science .Generally speaking,Larry Laudan excluded truth from science .The evolution of science is the pursuit of better resolvent of problems .
