As information technology, logistics technology development, a growing number of logistics and distribution Enterprises choose application of GPS technology with a view to achieve greater efficiency, cost-saving purposes. But many enterprises simply to monitor delivery vehicles for road and track use GPS, few enterprises to combine GPS and other elements of logistics and distribution, such as the workload of the measure, distribution, route planning. This thesis uses logistics and distribution of a tobacco company, connecting with the GPS technology as an object, studies the logistics and distribution information platform in the basis of GPS; introduces the application of the GPS/GIS technology in logistics and distribution; researches the logistics and distribution in 2 areas: basic vehicle Routing problem and related theoretical. In the basis of GPS real-time monitoring, using transit time to measure the distributed delivery route will be advanced, and then plan the delivery route, educe the suitable planning method for the actual distribution transportation route of this tobacco company. In the end of the thesis, there is a detail description of the GPS-based tobacco logistics and distribution information platform for general framework, system structure and the main function. I hope this thesis can provide the domestic logistics enterprises a basis for the similar projects.
